Shall I buy an RX 460

I have an AMD FX-6300 And a R7 240 . I have £90 And i wont be getting more money any time soon , Im thinking of buying the RX 460 Because it will play newer games well , I cannot buy any more because I have a £90 budget and a bottleneck will occur . Is it worth buying .

You should've saved your money from the R7 240. If you can, sell it, and combine that money with your 90 pounds to have a bigger budget. If you can afford it then, get a 1050/1050 Ti.

RX 460 is a nice choice for you.

if the budget is the limit, that rx sounds good, but the rx560 and rx550 should be released soon and both are near that budget, supposedly the rx550 is 80 and should be 5 or 6 times faster thna that r7 you have there

perhaps wait some days and see what the market offers with the new rx family, otherwise the 1050 could be a very possible option, in terms of speed and price

I'm sorry but the budget is the limit I borrowed the money and have to pay it back theres no way i can go any higher but i dont think the fx 6300 will go any good with 1050ti as it may bottlenck

Get the RX 460 then, or wait for RX 550 as suggested above. It will probably have similar performance to RX 460 for cheaper.

it could bottleneck, but that is not the end of the world

bottleneck means that the gpu or cpu will be limmited by the other

so instead of giving you, for example, 150 fps on cs:go, you will get 120fps

just a examle, both parts will run and you will be able to play the game, but not at the maximum possible by the cpu or gpu, gpu on this case

sometimes the bottleneck is small, you will not notice a less frames generated, just you will miss them when comparing other peoples pcs with similar specs but faster cpu for example

i had a hughe cpu bottleneck, i played with it for 3 or 4 months, nothing to report really, and my cpu is really slow, also gpu is slow, and still i could play all day and have lots of fun

go ahead with the rx460, try to get the 4 gbs model, if you can wait, the rx560 should be better at the same price, or try to save a bit more and get the 1050ti

if you need to buy it now, get the rx460 4 gbs model and enjoy your gaming pc

the RX 560 is coming out in may so wait a couple weeks to see if there is a price drop
