I had the nzxt sentry 2 fan controller for about 3 months when one day my pc would turn on and shut back off within a second. So i tried again, it powered up. About 5 seconds later smoke filled my case and my room as fan cord 5 caught on fire. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem.


p.s. I have to say nzxts customer service was the best i have delt with in a while. These fan controllers are durable. cut off fan cord 5 and its running good as new(5 - 1 fan controller)

You probably overloaded the controller.

THE FAN CONTROLLER. All i had was 5 fans, and they werent high performance either. I laugh about it today but the cops who came to my house at 11pm werent when my fire alarm went off. i just wanted to see if anyone else had a problem with their fan controller.

I'v never used the NZXT controllers and was considering buying one in a few weeks for a mod....

He's using the Sentry 2 which IIRC is rated at 10 watt per channel. Skip the LX

i was using 3 120mm green led link depot fans and 2 230mm coolermaster fans. Dont get me wrong, im not trying to stop you from getting a fan controller, my incident was probably 1 in a million.

yeah, for some reason they didnt call first. I have brinks and they called the cops.
