[SOLVED] should I buy Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2?

Jun 6, 2018
I have HyperX Cloud Stinger which I'm using since more than 2 years, and thinking about getting a new headphone.
Sellers are offering Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 for less than 100$, but I'm unsure about their performance compared to the compitition in same price range.

P.S: I dont have a sound card, not I'm planning to buy one. Using Asrock Taichi z370 motherboard.

Considering they have fairly bad reviews on Amazon and are on a fire sale, I would not buy them.

For under 100, I'd get a Cooler Master 751 or 752 for the virtual surround dongle that has, HyperX Cloud Alpha or if you don't mind waiting a bit and spending a bit more then this https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-x-sennheiser-pc37x-gaming-headset . Just keep in mind the Sennheiser is not closed back to you will hear more of the outside world if you are in a loud spot. Or get a Game One which is available quicker but more money. Used models also work, as long as they are not abused headphones very rarely break past pads and headband wearing.

If you are using a $300 motherboard, you should spend some on a decent headset since that is what you actually touch and hear, otherwise it's like buying a car with a nice engine then putting in some crappy seats that are not nice to sit in and a cheap feeling steering wheel.
