I got an email saying to just simply refuse the parcel and it will be sent back and I'll receive my refund. Not too worried when the refund comes, so long as it does actually happen.

Lets get this topic back on track, received that last night when I got back home from work.

Corsair AF120 fans have terrible performance while they are fairly quiet.
specs: http://www.corsair.com/en-eu/air-series-af120-led-red-quiet-edition-high-airflow-120mm-fan

As far as LEDs go, they shine brighter the faster the fan is spinning. At some point, i had AF140L red LED fans as my top exhaust in my Skylake build. Here are few pics to show off the LEDs at 100% of power,

They're good enough for the moment its not too bright like aerocools led fans are.
Looking at hwmonitor just now it runs at 1500rpm to 1600rpm at best.
Corsair didn't lie when they said silent edition, like a small office fan on very low.
My only problem now is finding a 4pin connector to 4pin molex connector.
[strike]I hope someone on ebay has one for a good price, I don't feel like buying from amazon to be charged taxes and shipping costs.[/strike]
Edit: I lied amazon had exactly what I needed right after I typed this message.

Just put together my Ryzen 1700X build.

0rVD6u9.jpg

Tests done so far:

Cinebench 11.5 - 16.78 score on all cores. 1.54 single core performance.

From that, it would seem as if I have a pretty good cpu as the single core performance is comparable to the higher clocked 1800X (Going by a fair few reviews I've seen).

Whats the model name of your case again, looks nice indeed, but must it be all white ? oO
I hate to be the one trying to dust that off every week. :p

Definitely the 6700HQ, it's maybe 10% worse than the 7700HQ, the 1060 might be twice as fast as the 1050.
Search for some benchmarks.

You Lucky so and so, well done

Bringing my loaner i7 960 Alienware Aurora back to life, first order of business was getting Windows 7 64bit installed on a new Sandisk 120GB SSD (yay SATA II speed!), then adding a 1TB 7200 RPM WD Blue HDD, and finally 12GB of triple channel DDR3 RAM. I put in my spare 390X, but story was the same as with my 3930K Alienware Aurora ALX; the 875W PSU can't handle the draw (outside of Total War: Warhammer, Unigine, Tomb Raider, and The Division result in insta-shutoff); GTX 780 seems to have been the maximum that PSU can take, must have some pretty crappy rail system going on. Anyway, hopefully the RX 470 in the mail will fit the bill here.

so I decided to upgrade the system I run with a nice I7 upgrade since they are worth 259 now.
with a save 30$ when buying a matching board at microcenter grabbed a MSI H81m Board to slip the 4570 I was running on my system and build another "office" system, slapped a 750ti bough off ebay for 65$ and I was set with 2 systems now.
cheers.

Yeah that is a pretty nice looking CPU, but I was browsing around and I saw that EVGA was selling previous generation SC17s for a crazy discount: http://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=758-21-2633-T1

I don't really game on my laptops (that's what my desktop is for) so gaming performance isn't really that important but I'll take a 4K screen over a 1080P for the same price any day of the week.

Haha, it looks somewhat better now with my new RAM, CPU, motherboard and cooler. No more red RAM and blue heatsinks which stand out... Not sure if people would prefer such a large air cooler though. I do love my H440 case though, had it a few years and still not even considering upgrading to a different case.

Nice. I built a similar system out of a Raven and used my old 3570K and a GTX 960 on a Zotac motherboard, and it's pretty awesome for an HTPC setup.

.................
Lets trade cpu for the next 6 months ? [:maikutech]
Nice purchases though, good luck with building process, I may need a bigger board because that gigabyte barely fits right on my mounting pegs. -_-
