Shiny indeed. I find it amusing that the contest requires you to only post a comment. Would be interesting to find out the statistics on how many comments were made between last week and this one.

I somewhat agree, but with how SSDs are progressing these days, I can understand why they held back on the SSD. Hard Drives are basically at the peak of their performance right now (I believe), and while they're generally slower, they've been perfected over the years, which is more than I can say about an SSD.

I would prefer an imperfect SSD over a "perfected" HDD. Bar none.

Cool looking system. It seems that a bunch of tech websites are starting to do this. Arstechnica and Anandtech have. Signing up is easy so this worked on me.

I would love to win this rig. Can play all my games at the highest game setting wooot please pick me

Well This rig looks nice.

I recently got an G73 but for some reason it keeps on freezing i think its the video card drivers I like ATI but it seems that ever sinces 10.5 they all suck. So if i get this it will be nice to be able to play a game with out it crashing on me or with out my worrying it will crash.

IT really sucks when your playing some sc2 with some friends and then end up having your team lose because your video card stopped working.

For such a good system i'm a little surprised that there is not an SSD in it as well. The SATA-III HDD should definitely be nice though. I would like to see some systems like this that the have USB 3.0 ports on the front panel, or at least a 3.0 header on the motherboard.

10 pages back...oh well here's hoping.

Nice system I must say. Thank you Toms as you clearly show your appreciation for your readers [clearly sucking up here]. I mean I have been to other sites but no one else can compare to your knowledge and professionalism [yes this blatant kissing-up but I need a new comp]. From your well written articles, accurate charts, and awe inspiring round-ups you are definitely on top of the game [yes I double as a vacuum cleaner on weekends]. I mean and talk about great authors [you still sucking up?]. From Tuan [I like Macs too!] who bravely fought off the evil MacPadd guy, to Cleeve [aka the best CPU guy around] who gives excellent and balanced comparisons, to Jane [cheers mate!] who keeps us abreast of all the tech news, to Chris Angelini [where the heck has this guy been?] who brings it all together, we are lucky [wow no pride at this point].

Again good luck to all who enter!

[Disclaimer: No lips were harmed during the sucking up in this article. However the pride, dignity, and shame of the poster were irrevocably damaged.]

Awesome giveaway Tom's!

My wittyness is escaping me but I'd love to have this system!

Why could I use this pc?

To put it simply, I've got decent pc and a wife. More importantly I have a wife who owns an ancient 1.6ghz laptop. Wife + rockin' i7 rig = me never again lending her my system for "x" hours, we could even game together for once!

It has been rumored that this computer has the power to make your girl break up with you, gain 40 lbs eating only microwaved food, spend over 100 hours a week pwning newbs in MW2 with your 500 fps dual monitor setup, and leave comments like "my comp eats iphones for breakfast" on steve jobs twitter. Not that this would ever happen to me if it came to my home.......my precious.

89% comments are virgins.
11% comments are too cheap to upgrade from old computer.

I live in Canada so I have a few Americans friends so its down to the trust test, will I end up receiving the computer if I win or will it be stolen? Only way is to see 😉
