Wow that is a nice build. I could sure use that, I just had to spend $600 to fix my car, and about $2000 for this semester of college.

Smart and witty? my wife say's I am a smart alec and that I could'nt wit my way out of a wet paper bag. However, I have set a few posts in my day, the Viper system could come in handy, just don't tell my wife, she don't like snakes of any kind.

Tom's will probably have someone read through all the comments before deciding a winner, so don't worry! =D

I have an idea, whoever has been the laziest around the office (does Tom's even HAVE an office?) has to read them all as punishment. Muahahaha!

ha ha ha when I read this article my heart shift to overclock mode but when I read "we can only include residents in the United States" my skin almost burn and my head heats up at 200 degrees, but this is good.

Just in case I win, I do have people who will accept the computer for me. Whether I get all the parts from them is a different story all together haha.

Maybe one of them will want to steal the GTX 460 for SLI, haha.

Nearly 7 years ago I ordered a custom $2000 CyberPower PC thanks to Toms Hardware's insight on parts. I remember that gleaning beauty with the latest and greatest FX-51 and ASUS 9800 XT. Sadly less than two weeks after I received it I was robbed at gunpoint by strangers that came in my front door and took my amazing new PC. All that's left of it is a the red front cover plate I had stored away along with some other spare parts, and my invoice email, and an investigator without any good leads. Oh how I wish I could see it again. So in an attempt to be witty I will submit my 48 core poem that was was meant to win a 48 core pc but unfornately didn't happen. Maybe I'll get lucky, maybe I'll make someone laugh, but here goes...

Hope Is Forty Eight and Ever

So I’m sitting here sippin on my route 44, thinkin about the world and 48 cores.
What shall I do? I think I have slight a clue, as I once pondered the meaning behind the mysterious Forty-Two.
Add six more and I think there's a solution in store.
Don't forget, the world still has cancer. Or that a your greatest enemy is only yourself,
and to that I shall fold proteins to find answers, even if I'm not a super computer,
just another person processing biological problems at a continuous canter.
Indeed this powerful piece of engineering really has me going, without fearing.
There are many thing's I can revive, passions of mine, deep down inside.
I always thought a movie or two would be an interesting pursuit.
With each idea, each render, rest assured there's enough core's to create it asunder
This is something I can appreciate to no extent, as time is saved is time well spent.
Though sometimes we must splurge and enjoy some games, I must relent.
In fact I can do all of them together, like a symphony of birds flocking through the weather
Yet as quiet as blowing air upon a feather.
I look around even in silence, there’s much more to be found.
Look there’s more cores, thus I must do more, for there are many, many unopened doors.
When I think about this opportunity, I think not about the rich, but of the poor.
As it is in this world many people suffer, a sad fact that makes me wonder.
There must be a way to help end our plight, mankind must innovate, we must unite!
I say Artificial Intelligence is the path to the light, robot's can help us do right.
But this feat of modern creation requires calculated simulation
Our own brains must be studied, analyzed and modeled.
With so much power sitting in this amd tower, I think the task is genuinely of the hour.
This I can do within a program, over the internet, and a 48 core, nothing more.
I'll save my sanity, my dreams, and a take the chance to help humanity
If I had a dollar for every core I used to help someone poor, I'd multiply it by a factor of four
And donate the money, not because I'm clever whatsoever
But always remembering that my parents taught me... hope is forever.

You have to copy paste the first and third. I don't know what happened to the links.

BTW, xi0s, what was this 48 core computer like?

THG giving back to the community.
Bret Michaels would definitely say "That rocks!"
... although - yeah - smart and witty?
Aaaagh - I'm a geek, not a comedian.
"For god sake Jim, I'm a doctor - not Andy Kaufman."
