The Silverstone SG13 case is a shoe box style case, and as with most cases like it, has poor heat management and limited case airflow options. In different owner's forums for the SG13, I have seen that, because there is no space for an exhaust fan in the case, it is common to turn the PSU so that its air intake is pulling air from inside the case as a kind of exhaust fan alternative.

So, my question is, is the power supply that I have in my build, the Silverstone SX500-LG, high quality enough to be used in this way safely? In the Tom's Hardware review, it says the operating temp. max is 40 C. Will my internal ambient temp. ever be higher than that? Thank you!
