[SOLVED] So i recently upgraded from a ryzen 3 2200g to a ryzen 5 3600 and I went a little overboard with the thermal paste and some got on the pins!

It's only a few pins 5-6 maybe. Ive seen that q tips, tooth picks, and 91% isopropyl alcohol will work. Is that true and if not what do I use. And what would happen if I didn't get all of it off and tried to use it? Does it just need a stable connection. One more thing how would I go about cleaning it would It be safe to put the alcohol on the pins with a q tip

if u dont clean it, few things may happen... either some small resistance (voltage drop/less ground , which means stability issues...), if paste is conductive than it will burn

alcohol can clean it, just make sure it gets dry before u put in socket
