Hi all, I am experiencing a real odd issue:
I am running an Asus P8Z68-V Pro motherboard with 4x2GB of DD3 RAM
For several years, the math has worked out... 4x2=8GB
A couple days ago, My computer slowed WAY down... I discovered that it was reporting only 4GB
So, I assumed that I had "bad" RAM, so I ran Memtest86
The report makes no sense to me.
All 4 sticks are running fine. (0 errors over several hours of testing....)
All 4 Slots work fine (Rearranged the RAM and re-tested several times)
I know that there is a weeee difference in voltage (1.5 vs. 1.65) but that was never an issue before.
And yet, with all 4 in, MemTest is reporting 4x2GB Sticks, and a total of 4063M
Here's an image of the report... Any thoughts?

Turns out, My CPU was actually REALLY faulty. It could only "see" half of the installed memory (Dual Channel... could only see one side)
So, All the Memory was fine
All the computer settings were fine...

The CPU Was half blind

Confirmed by installing a different i7-2600 (NOT easy to come by any more...)
