The doll stash - created when you put Wirts leg and two Horadric Scrolls
into cube and transmute.
Dolls are added by putting stash and doll in cube and transmuting.
You can NOT get your dolls back out of the stash.
Have any of you _used_ this? Did you know it says (besides 10 poison over 2
seconds) plus one to find potion after about 3 dolls and plus two after
about ten, but, find potion works different than regular LOD, you only find
purple, no red or blue, plus, sometime you get the 'soul' of the monster you
killed, which turns into an egg which can be just about anything at all. (I
currently have 40 dolls in it and it still says only plus two to find
potion)
Catacombs level 4 - HUGE - compared to regular. Also, I don't know what the
deal is exactly, it might be something like Baal's minions where you have to
kill them all before Andariel shows up, but my first character found her in
'regular' spot/room, whereas my second character bypassed a few rooms and
then she wasn't there (regular spot), I had to go and clear out those
bypassed rooms and she finally showed up in the last one.
Make money gambling - after you are about level 15 or higher, if you buy
certain items you have a very good chance of getting more for it than you
paid, specifically, the lowest priced wand, orb, short staff, and the lowest
priced necro head/shield. After you hit level 25 or so you also get offered
new items like holy water and ninja stars, the holy water is an automatic
money maker, cost of just over 3000 and sells for at least over 6000 and up
to over 150,000, the stars are also just over 3000 and the least you get for
selling is 2000 but can be over 100,000 also. As you can see, it does not
take long to make money when you pay 3168 and get back 150,064 or so.
Lots of green and gold items from gambling - even in normal. Nagelring
rings (heh, see my 'organization' in my headers), Manald heal rings, super
duper mf ammy (150% mf!!!), etc.
Does anyone know, where is the stash in act 3? (that is as far as I have
gotten so far, also, is it hard to find in act 4 and 5?)
For those looking for / needing scrolls - save, exit, and restart the game
and go to the house near Charsi and check the bookcase - do this as often as
needed.
Love those torches, (extra magic find is always welcome dontcha know) make
sure to light one before hitting all those chests in catacombs level 4, I
light a torch, hit all the chests/cots/sarcophaguses/etc in sight, then do
the 'clean up' routine where I have to move stuff into some side room to
make sure I can even see it all.
Is there a list anywhere of exactly what each oil should be used on and what
they do? I am pretty sure that I have wasted a few by using them on the
wrong type of item, they disappear but nothing seems to have changed on the
item.
Oh, speaking of disappearing, I am not sure the parameters of the add
socket(s) cube recipe. My perfect gems were gone and nothing happened on a
green item, only works on 'white' items?
That is enough for now, please add any comments or observations of your own.
