Mollie, no device means that the drivers werent installed for your audio
chip or sound card.
If you don't know what that is go here and download and install Belarc.
It will give you a inventory of your system http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html Post back here when you
have the information.

have you installed the drivers for the sound device...is the sound device onboard..ie built into the motherboard...if so the drivers will be on your operating systems cd...ie wndows 98...2000....xp if you have a pci sound card installed you should of had an install disk sipplied with the sound card....
