First let me say if anyone thinks there is a better forum than CPUs to post this under please let me know...
I have a GA-965p-DS3 Rev 2 running F10 bios with a E4300
I just finished reading the Core 2 Duo Temp Guide:
http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/Core-Duo-Temperature-Guide-ftopict221745.html
and this post on "Unreal Low Temps"
http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/E4300-2997MHz-Unreal-Low-Temps-ftopict227462.html
So now for the most part I understand the difference between the Tc and Tj readings. Now I need to translate them into speed fan 4.32 settings.
So under the Configure -> Advanced section I am able to select three chips.
Intel Core $0 on ISA
HD0 (xxx) at $0 on Smart
IT8712F at $290 on ISA
under the IT8712F it lists three diodes which I currently all have set to a value of "Thermistor"
So the supposition is as follows
Temp 1 is a Tcase sensor requiring an offset of +0C
Temp 2 is a Tcase sensor requiring an offset of +0C
Temp 3 is a Ambient sensor requiring an offset of +23C
HD0 I have no basis of comparison
Case 0 is a Tjunction sensor requiring an offset of +15C
Case 1 is a Tjunction sensor requiring an offset of +15C
this would result in:
Sensor - Current Reading - Adjusted reading
Temp 1 - 35C - 35C
Temp 2 - 34C - 34C
Temp 3 - -2C - 21C
HD0 - 36C - Is this normal?
Core 0 - 35C - 50C
Core 1 - 33C - 48C
If anyone is able to provide any additional suggestions on Speedfan configs for the following that would be helpful as well:
