[SPOILER] Lorrie Dunsirn Errata?

This came up at the prerelease tournament in State College yesterday
(thanks Tobin!), but I don't think it came up during play because I
don't think anyone actually played with her.

Lorrie's text reads: "Non-hunt actions cost her an additional pool." I
think we decided yesterday that since it says it costs HER an
additional pool, and Lorrie doesn't have any pool, that it's supposed
to read "Non-hunt actions cost her an additional blood." If her
non-hunt actions were to cost pool, they would read "Non-hunt actions
she performs cost an additional pool." or something to that effect.

So, do her non-hunt actions cost blood or pool? Thanks a bunch.

Neat. The first ruling I make and it turns out to be wrong. Darn. I
guess if I would have thought about it from a meta-game perspective I
might have ruled differently.

It also would have changed the heck out of the 3rd rd game where she
was bleeding me for 1 every turn and I sure as hell wasn't going to
block her.

Lorrie Dunsirn rocks. I used her to great affect in the Pre-release
held yesterday. With limited amounts of stealth and combat, the built
in press, +1 strength, and additional strike were extremely effective.
I was playing a Baali starter, and I put her in anyway, and she
kicked-butt (torped quite a few vampires). She was particularly
effective at knocking out red-listers (so what if it costs me a pool to
do it!).

It means the latter. Pool. No errata.

An additional pool.

Going anarch would cost her two blood and one pool (assuming you
have no other ready anarchs).

I think it is supposed to cost an additional pool. So if she does anything
other than hunt, you have to pay a pool. 'Cause actions that vampires take
can cost pool--see, like, Clandestine Contract or Patronage. I think if her
non hunt actions cost an extra *blood*, she'd be, like, the best vampire
ever.

Seems likely it is pool, like written. It is just written unweilily.

As already pointed out, even if you have to build a lot of wacky
infrastructure around her (give her Guardian Angel, give her intercept with
media locations, give her obfuscate so she can Hidden Lurker in, whatever),
she is totally worth it.

Without testing her on field, I'd say she is at least one of the best
vampires ever printed in group 4. Sometimes I think that some players
give to much leeway to disabilities because they just want to be able
to whack stuff as much as possible without any hindrance. Like combat
was easy to pull off to begin with. Paying a pool here and there is
not more of a problem than it is for combat decks if you can save some
space in combat cards - and if you're using Lorraine you can pretty
much make a combat module out of Immortal Grapple, Disarm and a few
prevention cards, no more.

I personally believe that's easier to deal with her pool requirement
than it is to cope with infernalism, even with the new rules, or with
disabilities like Pariah's tapping when you do not play a master card.
There are many ways of generating pool. There are less ways to assure
you'll have a master card to play every turn without coggling your
hand.

Negatory. Diablerizing your own vampire is a non-(D) action, thus not
triggering the Red List quality. Sorry.

Speaking of which, Trophy: Domain is deliriously good. Clearly one of
the better, if not the best, trophies that came up in the local prerelease.

It's so good that it's almost worth making one of your own minions Red
List and then putting him into torpor and diablerising with another
vampire so that you get to put the trophy to good use. :)

Diablerizing one of your own is neither a (D) action nor a combat, so
would not garner you any Trophies.

Card text follows.

Trophy: Domain
Master. Trophy.
The vampire with this card has +1 intercept. Once each action, this
vampire can burn 1 blood to untap and attempt to block.

I still don´t get this "Non-hunt actions cost her an additional
pool."-wording. "Her"? Lorrie doesn´t have a pool or? Shouldn´t it be
"cost her controller"?

True, that. Wasn't thinking clearly with all the buzz going on in my
head about the new cards. Stupid idea anyway. :)

She sure was great in the prerelease environment as part of an Alastor
deck. She was a great bleed blocker--very little stealth in draft--and
when she did take actions, she usually got blocked, saving me pool. I
credit her with winning the only game I had her in.

Same thing. See previous response.

Well, if it said "you," it would increase the cost of *all* your Minion's
actions.
