I have an MSI B450 gaming plus max for my motherboard. I have windows on a Samsung 990 500gb. Whenever I go into bios to switch legacy+ uefi to uefi, the Samsung 990 doesn’t show up anymore. I am doing this to get windows 11

If windows is installed in legacy mode, then switching to UEFI only boot makes your pc unbootable.
You have to convert your windows installation to UEFI compatible using mbr2gpt utility.

Read here, how to use it.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt

Or - you can reinstall windows in UEFI mode.
I used the mbr2gpt utility, but now my computer won’t boot. I switched it to UEFI And the Samsung still doesn’t show up after I changed to to gpt and if I go to legacy plus UEFI then it won’t boot, but the ssd shows up
