Man if they made a full movie out of this game I would buy it, cut scenes are awesome as they are, heck it's the only reason I finished the game. game play is ok too. but I was addicted to the story.

20-30$? how about the price of a movie ticket? 10-15$ or the price of maps that should be included in a 60$ game. activision FTW! *sarcasm

What are most of you commenting about it says it will be a 1 hr and half long movie, therefore they will be filling in the gaps that are between cut scenes in the game.

It's a CG Starcraft movie. like I said earlier love blizzards cut scenes and I always though that it would be awesome for them to create a movie out of Warcraft cutscenes using their cg and now Starcraft, it just looks good and it's a good story.

Because it's Activision and their new business model is to profit profit profit.

blizzard could release a brick and people would buy it by the millions. not to mention all the brick expansions and monthly brick subscription fees.

I think Kotick was trying really hard to impress his audience. If even one person attending the conference was a gamer, they would know that nobody will pay $20 to $30 for a cutscene compilation. You may get that for a Blu-ray with all sorts of additional info on it, but you can also rent current releases online for a couple of bucks.

I wonder what he was smoking when he wrote his presentation. Maybe he's hoping that others will smoke the same thing and then they'll be ready to pay that much for his product. I won't be joining them.

This idea is neither good nor new, a few years ago Square/Enix made a movie from their Final Fantasy franchise called Final Fantasy VII the Advent Child which was totally made using the characters from the game. I think that they used the same CGI engine as the game cutscenes.

I forgot all about that. You called it, dude. It's been done. Bad idea.

This is a way for them to be able to tell Youtube to remove all walkthrough videos of SCII.

wow... Activision has really corrupted Blizzard they used to make decent games on their own schedule(in some cases fairly timely), now they have started making games on a yearly basis rather than when they are done.

did I hear that right???? 20 to 30 bucks for an hour and a half movie???? Even if it was the best dam movie ever made I wouldn't pay that price. I'm not a fan of piracy, but at this price I'll help seed.

Kotick must have gone to bootleg stores in Asia.....

Actually this is prevalent in Asia, it began with Final Fantasy X, in which certain people just compiled all of its cutscenes in a DVD and sold it. It actually quite sold well.

I don't like it. But it seems there are suckers for it..... Don't ask me why.... -_-;;

Correct me if I'm wront, but didn't they already do this with cutscenes from Diablo, Starcraft and Warcraft III. Anyway, if this was an extended video with more content than is just within the game it would be okay for $20. If it's just the game scenes, I would rather wait until I can buy the game for $20 and watch everything while owning the actual game itself.
