The shares drop cause the shareholders know that Jobs IS Apple, they know that without him Apple will probably die off like it almost did the last time he left the company.

These are rumours made by people that just watch from outside. They will lie "he has 6 weeks" and people will FLOCK to that single lie and spread it like fire while the first person laughs.

Until this is proven to be true, assume he is in good health. People go to clinics all the time, and cancer clinics too "possibly just a test to make sure he's all good, considering at 1 time he did have cancer he has to get checked every year"

If it was nothing apple would have declined the rumors to keep the shares stable and they have been strangely silent so either this is just lame way to get attention OR its more to it than that my guess is the later.

Yeah their OS is only installed in over 90% of the worlds computers so their core product is surely suffering heavily...

seriously the comments here make it sounds like he was a Thomas Edison single handed inventing the iPod and the iPhone, he is not, he's closer to an artistic director/business strategist, he gave apple a direction and a goal, it was the engineers that worked their butts off to make a working product that closely matched Mr Job's expectations, he did not come up with all those apple patents himself, it was an engineer who worked for apple that came up with those ideas

what he does have though is exceptional business acumen, he was able to capitalize on market opportunities and i have to admit smart enough to realize that creating an ecosystem around a product creates addition revenue streams and extends the product's appeal and increase the likelihood of future resales through platform dependencies and product obsolescence, and that's why apple shares get rocked so easily, there is no one else in apple with that kind of business acumen

If you mean "desktop and laptop computers" then you're right.

If you mean "handheld computers that most people use to access the internet nowadays" then you're wrong. Even the inverse of your claim would be too high.
