I had a very successful weekend for overclocking. I spent some time and lapped my E4300 and AC Freezer7 and then OC'd to 3.0GHz with 9x333. The OC was flawless on the P35-DS3L board with no voltage adjustments needed whatsoever. I started at 1.4v on the CPU and +0.3v for MCH and FSB just to be safe. After getting stable I bumped the voltages down to stock on all three and am now at 12 hours and counting running Orthos stable with temps averaging 54-55C. Even a full out stress test with TAT gets me temps in the 58-60C range. Not bad for a 60% OC!! Many thanks to those in the know. I have learned everything I know about my new hobby from these forums.

My next project will be this weekend. I am going to lap my E6600 and Zalman 9500 and try to get it OC'd to 3.6GHz stable on air. I will be happy with temps no greater than 60C but time will tell. I will be trying to get to 9x400 to run the mem at 1:1 but I am hearing that 400FSB is not that stable on this board. Any thoughts or experiences with this big an OC on an ASUS P5B Deluxe would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Been running my E4300 at 3240 for over a year on a ga 965p s3 board, slight voltage bump (1.37) and an arctic freezer 7, idles around 30, gets around 60 on orthos. Been looking at the p35 boards to upgrade to for its 1066/1333 support. Considering an e8400 or quad cpu upgrade soon, figured Id get the board first then the cpu..
