So I'm thinking of buying a 1tb hdd and the surveillance one seems to have a faster transfer rate and the cost difference isn't as much. Can the surveillance hdd be used for gaming and other everyday activities in a PC? Does it perform them better than a normal desktop hdd? And in the end which one should i buy if it's mainly for gaming purposes for the most part. My budget isn't as high to buy a ssd so that's out of my options sadly :(. So which one should i go for?
Thank you :D

Solution
You would see zero difference in gaming.
The only difference in those drives is that the firmware is more targeted to constant writes.

I see. So if let's say I'm somehow getting the surveillance one at a cheaper cost than the normal one should i go for it? Also what's the longevity of a Surveillance hdd vs a normal hdd?
