Can someone please help, what is the best way of copying SvcD's onto a DvD to be acknowledged as a DvD. I have Bin/Cue files for the required SvcD's. I normally use Nero to burn. Any idea's/newbie guides would be thankfully recieved, Peace Y'all, Happy New Year

I think you'll need to convert the movie itself into standard DVD format first mate. Google & download ISOBuster first, and test out the bin/cue files for problems. Then extract the movie using the same program.

You can then Google around for exact details on how next to proceed, you'll probably need a variety of software too, like TMPG, VirtualDub (or VDMod), GSpot, etc..

Can your drive burn DVD+/-R discs?

You don't need to reconvert the file. You need to extract the mpeg file and you can use something called "header trick". More on it here. If your dvd player supports playing raw MPEG files, all you have to do is burn it as an iso.
