[SOLVED] Swapped SSD's, both old and new don't work now.

Switched out one storage SSD for another on my PC, now neither of them work.

I have one 250gb Samsung 860 SSD with my Win 10 OS that I use to boot my system, and another 2 other Samsung 125gb SSD that I use as storage, but only one hooked up at a time. Today I shut down my system, replaced one 125gb for another, booted up and it registers a letter drive, but it only has 99mb of storage available. I shut down again, put the SSD back in that I just took out, and it is showing the same thing. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I know both of those SSDs worked fine before I just swapped them out.

I'm a slightly above novice when it comes to troubleshooting my PC but I'm just confused as to why they both just stopped working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

And I will add the suggestion that you try swapping in known working SATA power and data cables.

Could be that the unplugging/replugging of the existing cable(s) caused a plug failure.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I think your OS has ended up being corrupt. Is this a desktop or a laptop? If you do end up reinstalling your OS, I'd highly suggest that you go for an external dock if you need to migrate data to another storage device. Can you shoot us a screenshot of what your BIOS boot priority is showing you?

Yes, I can get you a SS when I get home. It's a desktop, built by me years ago with a little help. If the OS is corrupt, does that mean it's just not reading the drive correctly and the data would still be on the SSD? or should I get ready for disappointment?

Thank you.
