I had the same problem, but have the SCX-4826 model which costs around $200. It was working fine for 2+ years, then one day the red light came on, and it kept saying "System Error Cycle Power", and nothing I did changed it. I called Samsung tech support and was told that either the fuser and/or power supply would have to be replaced. I've read that this is a known problem with this series. I called a local Samsung service center and was quoted a price of $175 (parts + labor) just for the fuser repair, with a 60 day warranty.

So either you pay $25 more to get a brand new unit with a 365 day warranty, or take your chances with a repair. Not surprisingly, I chose to recycle the old unit.
