I have newly installed XP Home and love it!, except that my pc freezes off
sometimes and I cannot cntl/alt/del/ or in anyway access the task manager
like I could with WinMe. Powering off is the only way to get back ..... any
ideas or suggestions would be awesome
Thanks

Hi,

Freezing without any error messages is usually an indication of faulty or
flawed hardware. Win9x systems (like WinME) were much more forgiving and
might function unimpeded on the same system. Start/run eventvwr.msc and
check the system and application logs for clues. If there are none that
appear to be related to the feeze time, then it may need to be checked by a
pc repair shop.
