Hey everyone,

I'm having some confusions with my Ryzen 5 3600X. I just bought an aftermarket air cooler and an AIO. The aircooler that I bought is the Deepcool Gammaxx GT which has 120mm fans and the AIO is the ID Cooling Zoomflow 240X which has two 120mm fans (240mm) and a pump running at 2100 RPM. However, comparing all of them, of course I'm expecting a different result from each cooler especially with the AIO and the stock cooler will be a big of a difference. But after testing, at idle temps, all three coolers are almost within range. With the stock cooler idling at 45 degrees with the same range as the AIO and air cooler. At full load using prime95, all three coolers reaches 82 degrees. I'm kinda confused as to what part I'm missing or did wrong. I've also tried three different thermal compound with no difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here are the product links for the aftermarket coolers:

Case airflow?
Basically you want air blowing in at the front and bottom, Air blowing out at the rear and top but some cases have restricted airflow front panels and just suck at cooling. Which case do you have?

I normally see a fair bit of difference over the stock cooler. The Aftermarket cooler I use (eSports Duo) is usually about 10c cooler at idle and 15+ at load.

I wish I bought more of those coolers back when they were $35.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm using the Thermaltake H200 and yes it has a no mesh front panel like the NZXT cases but has intake grills at the left side. The radiator is in the front in a pull configuration (intake) with the fans running at 2000 RPM constant. One 120mm rear exhaust and two 120mm top exhaust running at auto config at 2000 RPM max.

Here's the link for the case: https://www.thermaltake.com/h200-tg-snow-rgb-2.html
