Hi
I have a Mushkin chronos system drive and another ssd for projects. I feel like I am getting a terrible performance with the Mushkin considering that it is supposed to be faster than my project ssd. I am wondering if anyone with knowledge of this stuff can shed some light.
I feel like the difference is pretty huge. However the Mushkin SSD is my system drive maybe that might explain the difference here? Especially the random write seems just too big of a difference to miss.
I used CrystalDiskMark
Firmware : 504ABBF0
Serial Number : MKN1238A0000129041
Disk Size : 180.0 GB (8.4/137.4/180.0)
* MB/s = 1,000,000 byte/s [SATA/300 = 300,000,000 byte/s]
Sequential Read : 189.741 MB/s
Sequential Write : 113.167 MB/s
Random Read 512KB : 183.839 MB/s
Random Write 512KB : 120.426 MB/s
Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 27.502 MB/s [ 6714.4 IOPS]
