Hey all, I just finished assembling my liquid cooled Raven RV02 today. The main components are listed in my signature.

I wrote up a build log here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/267276-29-completed-raven-rv02-build
Extra photos (in chronological order): http://s1123.photobucket.com/albums/l554/bravokiloromeo/Water%20Cooling/

Glad to finally join the club!

OCZ 4GB 1333Mhz DDR3 Platinum Edition
Corsair H50 modded w/ Fusion block system, dual rad w/ p/p
320GB WD Blue 16MB - OS Drive
2x500GB WD Caviar Green 32MB in Raid 0
500GB WD Blue 32MB

Asus DRW-24B1ST DVD+/-RW
XFX Radeon 6870 Black Edition 1GB DDR5
Thermaltake Spedo
Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 750W
Creative I-trigue L3800
Samsung P2350
Microsoft Xbox360 Wireless Controller
Microsoft x6 + x8

WC parts;
Swiftech MCR120-Res Heat Exchanger
Second rad by corsairs H50 (slim) rad
NB cooled by Fusion Block (all copper)
Pump and CPU plate - H50

Fans;
Corsair 50CFM fan in push, Noctua NF P-12 in pull with shrouds (made from dead 120mm fans) for the swiftech rad
Thermaltake 30CFM fan on second rad

Oc'ing wise - I've managed to run this rig at QX9770 specs. But i don't need to run it every now and then...when gaming, i have the OC. Temps aren't THAT great - though during winter :) it has a nice OC'ing headroom and temps. Due to this "headroom" need , I'll want to get some watercooling hardware and setup a Custom WC loop.

Yeah, the main problem with that pump is that it only runs at about ~0.1-0.2 GPM, according to the threads below.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?267834-Corsair-H50-pump-strength
http://www.overclock.net/water-cooling/954256-skinneelabs-spreadsheet.html

Didn't know you could mod the H50 to work with a different radiator. It's a very well contained pump/block - too bad it couldn't be a stronger pump. Looks pretty good though, and it'll look better when you get the chance to overhaul it ;)

Do you plan to LC the 6870 as well? That'd be a great thing to add once you redo the loop.

Yeah, a lot of people have modded it with a bigger rad and even a res. The pump/flow is one of the weakest parts about that cooler.

Might want to consider a better pump (which will necessitate a CPU block as well) once you add anything else. I like the DIY on the H50 mod...good stuff. Any problems when you did it?

It's PMP-400 /Aqua cover/CTR-SPD10 12V Pump or Fan Speed Controller
after this article came out;
http://martinsliquidlab.org/2011/04/26/pump-setup-series-vs-parallel/
i guess it's OK to mix pumps as long as they both similar ..so i have D5 after res and DDC before, the max i get is 5 LPM,
I don't know what it is.. top or the pump but this conf. is death silent, even @13v,D5 at speed 3 is louder :eek: ,once i get second Aqua (parallel SLI connection) i will probably just run DDC,btw i have the pump on its side

new GMR :D

The only problem - I think - i had was trying to cut the tubing without slashing the plastic barbs inside the pump chamber.

I only did it as a mod, you know, what enthusiasts do even if it don't work well with temps, it looks nice infront of a crowd of lan going people :) (when you invite them to your place :D )

The problem while modding the rad is that the pump isn't strong enough to support a 360 rad. Temps go horrible once you go beyond a 240 rad and the tubing has to be 3/8 th's (sorry if i'm wrong - been more than a year since i modded it, rusting with measurements :) )

Though here's what I'm looking when i'll overhaul the whole loop;
Swiftech H20-320 kit
another 240 rad
Silver kill coil
Tubing - available where i live
Looking at compression fittings, but i think I'll keep it simple with hose clamps (the ones that click to close)

and there you have it guys... still open to suggestions as I haven't placed any order as of yet.

cake anyone ? :)

@ boiler - If you get your hands on an old H50 and want to mod it - check out overclock.net's H50 thread. You'll get a detailed thread of how to mod the tubing, rad and i think the plate...

and no - will want to keep the 6870 on air. Just the NB and CPU within the loop :D

Yeah, there are a lot of how-to threads on modding LCS coolers...just look around at a few other WC forums...there aren't any on here. I can look some up if people want them and add to the WC sticky. Let me know...I can work on that this week/weekend.

You ran that stress test for a good long time! lol :p

I wonder what the real peak Prime95 temp is at that speed? I'd guess 75ºC.

Nice looking machine though. Hell of a lot neater than mine.

The 4.515 was just to see at how high of a clock I could boot with...Hell it was lucky that prime ran for the 3 minutes that it did. My temps wouldn't have gone above 60c I can gurantee that...I would have turned the AC up to high...I have a 22000 BTU AC in a 400 sq. ft. room...Its like the artic circle when I turn it up..You for real have to put on a coat in my Computer room during my OC sessions

Highest temp recorded running at 4.298 GHz is 54c...Thats at 1.56v

http://www.flickr.com/photos/30936964@N05/5973101745/

So, I don't think it would have gotten to much hotter than the 58.5c it posted at 4.515 GHz also at 1.56v...

When I get and install the H100...I suspect my load temps will drop by 8c-10c....As the H60 does a decent job until the little rad. gets heat soaked really quickly...The temps jump really quickly then level off rather quickly....

I beleiev its a mora...I saw that same rad+quickdisconnects(c) :p on an HTPC build where the OP used dual GTX 285's on an EVGA X58 mobo. But i know taht theya re killer rads ; passive and quiet!
