Yeah, I feel like there is such a large difference in quality (good vs. bad chips for overclocking) with Sandy/Ivy vs. Haswell. Some people like Mirakledba can't even get their 4670k to 4.4 stable, while others can get to 4.6 while not even at max voltage.

my cuz has a m6 with a carbon fiber hood and truck. you'd think it is ugly, but it's pretty slick. WICKDM6

I was a mercedes mechanic for a couple of years, and while they are VERY expensive to fix, they are far from junk. We had a few of the old 300d's coming in that had over 500k miles on them, and still ran just fine 🙂 .

I was/am an advanced mecp tech and worked on thousands of vehicles and the ones I found to be again in my opinion the biggest piles of junk well least eletronically were mercedes, bmw, jaguar and vw. The useless wiring and electronics in some of those cars and how they are wired up is absolutely ludicrous. Doing anything from rewiring hid lights to indash screens, stereos, replacement sat radios or amplifiers or bluetooth adapters, alarm systems with custom tilt sensors and proximity sensors was just a nightmare. So glad I got out of that field of work. I swear I have nightmares about it sometimes.

any help on my cousins s600 gear box?? I think it's 2005.It's about 1.5k to fix A GEARBOX. right about them being expensive to fix. Also, his speedometer's lights don't work. Any idea hows that. He does have 2-3 1500 watt subwoofers in there. and all mufflers and stuff like that gone.

Well, i had to deal with the biggest BS ever....

So I returned the G35s to the store, and I TOLD THEM I don't use them for youtube or music...only gaming!!!!!!!!!!! I have headphones for that. Then they go on youtube, testing the headset, and they work fine. I never told them I had a problem with youtube. I said yes, they work on music, and youtube, but they sound like crap and I have headphones for that. I told them I had problems with playing games. The 7.1 doesn't work properly. The right speaker of the headset was louder, and was mainly taking the music, background noise in the games I play. So.......now I have to wait for them to download BF4, and call me tomorrow if I'm BS'ing them. (Which I'm not)

They tried telling me "We can't just accept headsets because you don't use them for music or youtube" I said I don't care, I can use them however I want, I don't use them for music, or youtube. That's my choice and you'll have to accept that. I have headphones for a reason.......

What kind of crap is that? The headsets were designed for gaming. They don't work properly on gaming! If they tell me that they can't accept it because I don't use it for other reasons, I'm going to really set a fire to that store.

I googled every possible fix, and did all the software and driver crap. They still didn't work for gaming.

Your cousin modified and screwed with one of the most expensive to fix and unreliable cars Mercedes ever made. It WILL break alot and be REALLY expensive to fix. "The most expensive car you will ever own is a cheap used Mercedes" -famous quote

Yeah, he's driving his mom's ml. Now he wants a camaro. God help me. He sometimes speeds and HE ALWAYS takes the mufflers off in whatever car he has/had.
btw, anyone know what Game Of Thrones is about? I've heard about the hype but can't decide whethers it's worth the time to watch it.

Cool build in that little Silverstone, Stick (yeah, I'm a few days behind).
Some of you clearly enjoy playing with your PCs a lot more than you enjoy playing on them. Most of the "tweaking" I spend time on is routine maintenance like making sure the system stays clean (meaning no dungware as much as no dust) and optimally-running.

Take Newegg reviews with a grain of salt... The Antec is one of the best money can buy. It is a Delta...

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page673.htm

he Antec HCP-1300 Platinum is the third High Current Pro Platinum power supply we have reviewed and, today, it is really the definitive product in that line. To start things off with, the build quality continues to be simply second to none and it has 7 year warranty from Antec. After that, our test results read like a list of "class leading," "at the top of it's class," "the best we have seen to date," "outstanding," etc. Superlatives after a point do just get boring. If one must pry further, I would have to say this unit is probably "the it" 1300W-1350W product on the market currently and with the numbers it put up it may well be for some time going forward as, even if a product can do better in one field, this unit was at the top of the list in all of our fields. Perhaps the one area that this unit could improve in (well it could technically improve everywhere but it is in the lead currently) is the noise output as it is not silent yet. That said, it is a 1300W power supply and approximately 0% of people should be surprised that at full load it makes some noise. So, that brings us to how much this power supply will set you back. Hold on to your seats boys and girls, today this product (when you can find it in stock) is going for $303.77 which is cheaper than many of the competing products we have seen in it's class. So, not only is this unit the best performing and the best built unit; it is actually a good value on top of that! That makes this unit one of the easiest buy recommendations we have seen among power supplies, maybe ever.

Like any reviews, customers who mess up will blame the company.

For example. I have an external enclosure from Newegg and multiple users state that it flat out does not support bluray playback(one goes as far as to say that the "HL_DT something" chipset is the issue. HL_DT is an LG drive and not even the chipset.) or burning of dvd/cd. They say it can ONLY read. I have had a bluray player in it since I got it and it works perfect and burns dvd/cd without any issues. Also some users complain about the lack of a hard drive mount and having a hard time getting the optical drive to fit. This is because the hard drive mount screws to the bottom of the drive and is installed in the enclosure(this has to be removed to install a optical drive.).

Another example would be checking out some of the reviews on Amazon. A user who buys and adapter that says it converts HDMI to VGA and tries to connect VGA to HDMI and says such a device could never work because of its small size. Reality is they bought the wrong device for the job.

These are all users who give them selves that MAXIMUM technical knowledge rating.

Antec like every company has had some good and not so good power supplies(nothing I call bad). As with many companies they have them made from multiple companies to meet the budget/quality needs.

I also dont need the top of the line best money can buy. I want a good psu that has a great warranty and is gonna provide me the power I need. That antec looks like its their top teir model. I just need a psu that's gonna support my sli setup and the rest of my overclocked system. Almost 400 for a psu seens VERY excessive. Corsair has 2 models of their 1200watt the ax1200 and ax1200i and there is nearly a 100 dollar difference from 249 to 329.

I would prefer An XFX, Seasonic, Antec over an EVGA. None of those companies make anything "bad", or even worse than "above average". EVGA has some questionable units and some great ones. I see it like this: Would you rather have a good unit from a company that has made high quality PSUs for years, or a good quality unit from a company that has made some questionable units and is relatively new in the PSU market?

For example: You can get a Thermaltake Toughpower 750w unit which is VERY high quality and VERY well rated. But, on the same shelf at the store right next to it you would find the TR2-600 which is utter crap and has caught fire, exploded, failed in other spectacular fashions, ruined thousands of systems, and been in general junk. It sort of takes the "want factor" away from the same company's good units.

After reading more reviews johnnyguru rated it the best psu they have ever tested and recommended it for awards and gave it a 9.7 score. 108amps and actually rated higher than the corsair ax1200i and put out more than 1300watts. I think im going with it. Evga has AAA+ customer service so I am comfortable choosing them. Thoughts before I click buy?
