Hmm thats a really sexy GPU... XD I hope mine doesnt lean over a bit like his is! yeah you're right. I just want to be able to see the whole back plate... If i miss a bit of it, thats fine. I will remove all HDD bays except one at the bottom so a fan is blowing at it and no way of blocking the GPU. so you're sure my GPU will fit WIDTH wise? I know if I remove a bay it will fit and go through but will it touch the wall blocking the view of the HDDs? KEEP IN MIND IM GETTING THE RED AND BLACK ONE, red and black one is nice right? Are those 3 120mm fans better than two 140's or are those fans cheap?

AND AS MY LAST 2 QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS CASE, Will i be able to get the H100i tube coming from the right like the picture because thats how I want it, or will it not go that way? And there is a fan hub but where is the fan controller in the case?

😀 Onus and everyone else, hows the case 😀?

Yours will lean over. It is a REALLY heavy card. That is just what happens.

Yes, it will fit width ways.

You are getting a red/black HDD? Generally people try to hide the HDDs and SSDs for better cable management. No one really shows them off.

Yes, your 100i will mount like that.

WHere is the fan hub you speak of? I don't think the case has a built in fan controller.

Haha. RED AND BLACK HDD? No, RED AND BLACK VERSION OF THIS CASE http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/143-h440-performance-mid-tower.html press on the red and black option, scroll through the pics and look at the red and black one. Is it nice? Or no? I think my card wont lean because it has a backplate for support... And im sure if it bends its just a slight bend. That isnt bad for the GPU right? As for the fanhub, http://www.nzxt.com/uploads/product_images/case_h440/IMG_0256.jpg it doesnt show in the normal pictures but he has it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP85Zo-E55I and they pre plug all the fans in there.

The backplate won't really support the card. It is for looks more than anything. The card shown has a backplate and is leaning. It will sit pretty much straight but most heavy large GPUs sag a little.

I like the red/black version of the case, yes. I think it looks good.

I would guess that fan hub connects to a molex connector which you connect to the PSU.

thanks for your answers and yes I will get this case. it comes out in 12 days. goodnight :) onus, stick, tell me what you think. And stick, you said I should get the 750d so do you still think I should get this H 440? I hope it isn't too hard to build in due to the blocking of the HDD's and the PSU

So, here is a question I have been pondering.

Lets say you have an hd7870 and a gtx660ti both 2gb, sitting on your desk. You want to run an SLI/CF setup but you can only go with another 7870 or 660ti. Which do you buy?

Lets say you are going to play EVERY game there is. (to eliminate game performance bias)

Also, you are a superhuman and have bionic vision so micro-stuttering does not affect you.

It is generally the case that the 660ti is the superior card, BUT it only has a 192bit memory bandwidth compared to the 7870 with its 256bit memory bandwidth. This lower bandwidth is VERY apparent with the gtx 660 ti 3gb versions which actually perform 3-6% WORSE than the 2gb versions.

The question is, do you get a second 7870 and go for CF because even though they are slightly weaker overall, the superior memory bandwidth will matter and prevail over the 'choked out' 660ti's? OR, do you get another 660ti assuming that adding a second card will help with the memory bandwidth issue as both sets of cards together would still only total 2gb (SLI/CF does not double vRAM), and the more powerful cards would no longer be chocked by the memory bandwidth issue and would perform better?

Really been thinking about this one.

First of all, I always thought the HD7870 was slightly stronger than the GTX660Ti, not considering specific game variations. Especially if you like lots of AA, the memory bandwidth will matter just that much more.
The other things to consider though are power, thermals, and noise. The last two in particular will depend on which cards you buy; either could have cooler or quieter models.

Mirakledba, what about the Nzxt H440 for a case? I really like the looks of it as far as mid towers go. Or the Corsair Air540 that was mentioned before is another one of my favorites.

Edit I didn't see the H440 had already been discussed, still it would get my vote as the case to go with

RussK1 - Because its within my budget 😛

Tiny voices - I would go for the 7870s because I think they are faster

StickG1 - 😵 I hope that was a joke and you dont have that problem. I but the case when my dad comes back and if he doesnt change his mind (Which I think he wont cause its a cheaper option)

Do me a favor and attempt to install a Sapphire Dual X R9 280X in a SG05 Lite? According to sapphire's official dimentions it should just about fit, that's the non OC Dual X BTW,but i'm not brave enough to gamble my meager students savings on sapphire's word.

allanitomwesh - According to newegg, that GPU is 11 inches. On silverstones site it says " SG05-LITE support with 9.5" long NVIDIA Geforce 8800GTS 512MB in 1xPCIE 6pin" And it doesnt go any higher than that. Are you sure it will just about fit?

Well the case is 10.7" inches long, and the GPU is 11" long. So I would venture to say that it will not fit.

And I hope you're not thinking of paying $580 for a 280X. That card is worth $350 tops. Get yourself a GTX 770 or 780 instead.
