Just to heighten the rather sad atmosphere, i'm thinking of making another tier list. This time on Chassis design. From tier 1 for being super high quality and bundled well for their price as well as cooling effectiveness to tier 5 ones which can be close to useless, other than be a dust magnet.
If a tiered case thread, then it'd need to be a little bit more extensive since there are alot of cases in the market. To add, to that mess, different cases address different segments in the market and/or user group/niche. Speaking purely from an enthusiast stand point I think a tiered list helps those trying to get their purchases right instead of dealing with just a cheap route, afterall, an enthusiast would decide on spending the money in the right place.
My opinion though! Nevertheless I think its a good idea!

I don;t think a case tier list will work. Good vs. bad with a case is WAY less cut and dry than with a PSU. There are come REALLY cheap cases that for some situations would be bad, but for others would actually be recommended. I believe it will not work for the same reasons the motherboard tier list failed. WAY too many variables besides simple "are the components quality" like in the PSU tier list case.
Agree, and even then you won't have a tier list. But simply a "recommended case for xxx price" list for all different prices which already exists all over the internet.
I have a request for this PSU list. Can we have the "currently untiered" list moved to the bottom of the list so it starts immediately with the tier one list? It's always bugged me that I have to scroll past the untiered psu's to get to the good stuff
Hey guys, what do you think about the Antec Earthwatts Green 650W?
Is it a good power supply and should I go for it?
Its electrical performance is fine but you can see where they cut costs. In keeping with their Eco Green theme they don't include an AC power cord because they figure you'll reuse one from a previous build. The output cables are unsleeved. Delta is the OEM and is considered to be a top tier manufacturer.
