As you said, there is very little information about it and what there is seems to be all French and German marketing. This is probably too new to make a call on without a reputable review or one of the more knowledgeable PSU guys to take a look at the platform used.

i saw a few of them in germany. and i heard some bad input about them from some buyers like making weird sounds.
i don't really know too much about them but i wouldn't touch them

yeah no I totally believe you it's just i had just ordered the psu and had chosen it for budgetary reasons at first and I have read some decent reviews for it. I will eventually get another psu as I trust that the brand is not reliable however for now just to power to the whole thing and see if it works I think I'll try and use it. And hey I might have that lucky model that actually works and won't need to buy another psu.
But thanks for your opinion and expertise it means alot.

I would not try to use it. Raidmax is a terrible company. You are taking a big risk. IF it fries your components Raidmax will tell you to screw off. They will be no help. Why risk it? Even for one day? I CERTAINLY would not use it long term. You won't "get luck with a model that actually works" because they are all crap. Even if it powers your computer it is very likely that it will have way out of spec voltage that will cause hard to your components.

It just isn't worth it. Sorry.

The ZT series OEM is Great Wall. Always has been.

OCZ bought PC Power and Cooling several years ago and now after OCZ's bankruptcy they are both ( OCZ and PCP&C ) sold under the Firepower name.

Ah, thanks for the info mate! I realized the PC Power and Cooling moniker a few months ago while I was surfing through Newegg. OCZ units referred as formerly PC Power and Cooling.

I hope the company reputation does live on in Firepower as the SSD lineup seems promising to say the least...

As tinyvoices said, I would not use it at ALL. Not for one week, not for one day, not for five minutes. All it takes to ruin ALL of the hardware in your system, is five seconds, by powering on. Here is a couple of examples that have been much passed around here, but clearly show what happens with units like that:

I've gone for the Antec TruePower Classic 750W, as it was the cheapest I found from the top two tiers. Very please to get a Gold PSU without paying a premium for it!

Thanks dottorrent :)

Enjoy your unit dude. It's a solid choice.

Hi there.. I am confused between these power supplies..
Seasonic Eco 600W SS600BT
Antec Vp 500W
Corsair Cx 600W
They cost about the same but I have seen some comments regarding the Seasonic is old and overpriced in this model but it's tempting because it's 46amps on the 12V rail.
I want to power a FX4300 and an HD 6670 which ai plan to upgrade in some time to a R7 260X or R9 270X. So I need a capable and long lasting one.
What should I go with? Appreciate all suggestions.

The SS-xxxBT are OEM models that are discontinued by Seasonic. My understanding is that the remaining models are rebranded as ECO series and sold in developing countries. ECO series are actually a downgraded version of the actual SS-xxxBT series with 230V only input and uses mostly Teapo caps

Only the main ATX connector is sleeved and cables are probably too short to route it properly in a good cabinet. I would prefer the Corsair CX series
