Looks like EVGA pulled a Corsair almost overnight and now they are also using 800 OEMs. Enhance, Acbel Polytech ( bad EVGA bad! ), HEC, FSP, Super Flower, Seasonic and Etasis ( well OK the Etasis is discontinued ).

Looks like the Seasonic models will be based on the X / Platinum series unless Seasonic has something new up their sleeve.

You could be lucky and run it for 3 years. More likely it will fold the moment it gets hot or is stressed a bit.

Point is, just because it works NOW does not mean its any good and will last.

Looks like a similar layout to my XFX Black Edition, same OEM, same unit maybe? Or maybe a revised version?

Can you please suggest me a good PSU for this rig. My current PSU doesn't go well with the rig and ended up with frequent shuttingdown and restarts. Here is my rig

System Rig:
Gigabyte 78LM-USB3.0
AMD FX 8350
HD Radeon 6870
Corsair CX 430 PSU
8GB of RAM(1x4gb and 2x2gb)
1 TB Toshiba Hardisk
Windows 8.1

My budget would be $65-70. Thanks in advance.

With a rebate, this is 55 bucks from NCIX http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-110b20750vr

Thanks for your suggestion but only Antec, Seasonic, Cooler Master and Corsair are available here in India. Can you link something from these brands ?

Seasonic S12II Bronze 520

Looking at your system it could be a problem with high temps. Can you check temps?

Temperature seems fine. Anyway ill leave the image down here. Let me know.

does that end with a faulty psu ? So shall i go with Seasonic S12II Bronze 520 or do you have something else to suggest me ?

Here's the voltage readings from bios

The Goleden Green HX is a cost cutting version of the beloved Golden Green (XE) listed in 2A, but that should be clarified.

See all good caps on the GGXE ^^

Every CX I have seen has below 12v. Perhaps they put too long of cables.

Anyways, this is one reason that hungy graphics cards run like crap on these units.

But with this rig, it doesn't go well with the PSU i guess. I get frequent shutdowns and restarts while playing games. No issues with the temperature. So i decided to get a new one. budget around $65-$70. Please suggest a good one from Seasonic, Antec, Corsair or CoolerMaster (Only these are available at my place)

Gigabyte 78LM-USB3.0
AMD FX 8350
HD Radeon 6870
Corsair CX 430 PSU
8GB of RAM(1x4gb and 2x2gb)
1 TB Toshiba Hardisk
Windows 8.1

^ You need a recommended 500w unit with an HD 6870 so it's not the power supply's fault 😉

Any Seasonic, Antec or Corsair would be fine for your system. Avoid all but a few higher end CoolerMaster units. That's the best I can do without knowing specific models available to you.
