Question The RTX 4080 has an excessive cooler, so I'm considering using this fan curve, but I'm unsure if this is a good idea.

Hi, I am using an RTX 4080 and came up with a custom fan curve. I want to turn off my fans to prevent noise and wear when the system is idle.

When I tested this fan curve configuration, I noticed that my GPU maintains a constant temperature of around 67 degrees Celsius with all fans turned off while the computer is idle. So I adjust the fan curve so that the fans will begin spinning linearly once the temperature reaches 70 degrees.

If I leave the fan curve at its default settings, the GPU fan will continuously spin and stop in order to maintain the GPU temperature around 50°C.

Is it potentially harmful to the GPU if I use my custom fan curve (The GPU temperature will always remain at 67 degrees.)?

The upper graph is GPU temp, the lower graph is the fan speed.
On the left side of the graph is when I use my custom fan curve, the temperature is constant at 67 degrees and the fan never spins.
On the right side of the graph is when I use the default fan curve, the temperature is around 50 degrees, but the fan just goes on and off continuously.
