I have the 8-GB version of the following card: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/gigabyte-rx-570-gaming.b4442
GIGABYTE RX 570 GAMING
So i bought some Artic 50x50 - 1mm Thicc thermal pads to replace it, and i covered the main parts - IMAGEs: View: https://imgur.com/a/PQiisEs

I very, very carefully removed only the sections of the original Thermal pads that the GPU came with and replaced it with the new Artic one, since i did not have quite enough to cover everything.

I use this GPU for mining ETH.
Before i changed the pads:
- When i would start it up, it would hit 40-Degrees, then climb up to 58-60, which was the threshold before the miner would reset via configuration. My goal was to get it lower.
After i changed it, it would start up at 75 Degrees, and quickly climb to 80+ and then auto-shut down due to the heat. I literally cannot turn the GPU on as it picks up so much heat the miner shuts off to save itself.

What am i doing wrong? Which ones do i need to get?
I thought the MM was the same based on eye... now i can even turn it on and i wasted money on the pads that dont seem to work :C

Doesn't seem like you properly re-installed the cooler, mounting pressure looks uneven based on the way the new memory pads were squished. (very squished towards the PCI connector, and not squished at all on the top edge of the card). And you didn't clean the memory and VRMs before applying the new pads, so that didn't help.

Doesn't look like the ones on the chokes even made contact with the heatsink.

I would say, start over and get an appropriate amount of pads and some thicker pads for the chokes.

Just to be clear, im from South America, spanish is my main language so im struggling with some terminology here.

Can you like, use paint to point out which parts your talking about?
I dont know which is the PCI connector you are referring too, or the "mounting pressure"

Also, chokes and heatsink?

I will start over and get more pads, obviously, but i need help knowing which i should get, the thickness, and if i installed it correctly.

Here's your answer

on ram you need 0.5mm pads and for mosfets 2mm

Where he uses 1mm

Do you know if i cant stack the 1mm on top of each other so i dont have to throw them away? Like, i guess ima going to have to buy 0.5 for the Rams, but can i stack two 1 mm pads for the 2mm mosfets?

Like the link I provided says, yes you can. Me personally I wouldn't but that's just me, that person had success as will you!
