phew! that's one cool work-unit!
tell me how long it took your AMD64 to complete it!

ps: me to thinks it's a pity that the sig-image don't work in our sig! 😉

Started crunching when I posted, but the power went out, and all my machines were off when I woke up. The farm will be staying down for repairs; I knocked back the OC on my AMD just in case. I'll give you my best estimate when it's said and done. Right now it looks like 56 minutes per frame or 287 PPD, thanks to SSE2.
/me tries the sig again

I got my CompactFlash to IDE converter and it worked. What didnt work was the PXE network booting. Must have been a problem with the motherboard itself or the onboard LAN. It was not a problem with the server because I booted a laptop with it and it worked perfectly. I already RMA'd it to Newegg and bought another one. This one is not a refurb so hopefully it works. Its a Chaintech 7VIF4 VIA KM400 Socket A mATX MB w/Vid, Snd, LAN. I should get it early next week and then ill start folding with it :) Only bad thing is that it will have to run with a Duron 750. Ill see if i can overclock it to 850Mhz or so, which will help but wont do miracles. It would be even better if I could run it at 133Mhz FSB and change the multiplier. Do I have to join the L1 bridges to overclock it? I already went over it with a pencil but ill see if it works when I get my motherboard.

Edit: GOOD NEWS (hopefully) 😀 I extracted the network boot rom out of the Chaintech 7VIF4 BIOS I downloaded from the manufacturer's site and then opened it in a hex editor. I found the following string in it:

[code:1:719fd87722]Copyright (C) 1997,1998,1999 Intel Corporation
VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter v2.17 (2002/11/04)
Intel Corporation Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 082) [/code:1:719fd87722]

So it appears it supports PXE :) :) I'll be in business soon  Also found strings for Novell Netware boot but I dont care about that.

Hurray!. We've rised to 92nd Place, I just joined about 4 day's ago and have gotten one big folding 2304 I checked there is no 2304 and i still folded that project and 2 other medium size foldings 1808 and other i forgot, seems like even adding one user pushes us up a few more points everyday. And makes the other teams loose some steam. Looks like they're losing folders while we're gaining a few everyday. yay 😀 😀

Welcome YO_KID37 glad to have you here. What name are you using I don't see you on our charts. Make sure you have team 40051 listed as your team!

Also wanted to give a shout out to Aragorn1024. You're putting up some great numbers for only being with us for a few weeks. Great Job!

Welcome Back MasterPooBaa!

Your points per day depend on the WU and your comp. Currently I make about 250 PPD on my X2 3800 with 1808 - 1850 ambers. But the best for me (according to Fahmon) is the 51 pointers (project 754) Fahmon says they are 1468.8 PPD (I've only had one so far but I want more).

I keep getting nothing but the 1808 project :x Its been like 4 times in a row and even my Duron 750 that I got working with network boot got the 1808 project.

All the WU's I've been getting all week have been amber or tinker. My problem is that running 2 clients on my X2 seems to have made them take 3+ hours longer to finish vs 1 client.

I hate the 700 series WUs. My A64 takes 8 hours to complete a 754. Are you saying that you can go through one in 50 minutes?
To date, my favourite core is the 1477. It takes 23 hrs, and gives 364 points.

I'm not saying anything /Johnny tightlips. Seriously though FAHmon says the 754 project (51 pointer) is 30 seconds a frame and 1468.8 PPD I dont beleive it nor trust it but it was only about 2 hours on my watch. The best to me are the 600 pointers they take about 62 hours but there hard to come by.

EDIT: I tried to post a pic of FAHmon saying 30 sec a frame but Imageshack is not working.

EDIT 2: Easy to use my ass. Anyway heres the link:

Again Photoshack is a PITA, Gotta spend a half an hour in a bitter duel (correct spelling and its Dual core for chips the cores arent fighting people so spell it right) to get an image hosted.
Anywho heres a screenie on a 600 pointer not that I've had one since I went to the console.

EDIT: Don't know why I posted that but the Dual spelling thing still counts.

EDIT2: Dont mind me I'm just going to do my happy dance since I'm #8 on the top 20 at the moment.

EDIT 3: gotta take them when I can get them as both my WU's on my X2 had file IO error and I gotta refold them so no points for me today (needless to say I'm rather livid).

Not too shabby. for 3000+ @ 2.0 @1.4 vcore. I'd take those forever.

Sorta got the sig working. I have to manually update it, but oh well.

Has anyone noticed how many new users we've picked up lately?

They have been inactive for quite some time. I'm not sure that you can "unjoin" a team, unless you switch teams. So, anyone that was ever a member, still is. As far as I know.

I just found a new one, but it seems that our forumz do not like
folding.cgi
either. link here.
