600 pointers are my highest points/day followed by DRGROMACS look here. 600 pointers have bonus points attatched because they are large WUs
DRGROMACS kick in SSE2 on my 3000+ @ 2.2
If someone gives me a place to upload it to, I'll post my stats.

THe boot image used in the link I gave you does not let you set an interval. I read that it backs it up every 2 hours on the server but I didnt get to see that becasuse the program no longer works for me 🙁 tried deleting, rebooting, and still nothing. The boot image in the link I gave you also uses WINE and the Windows client under linux.

UPDATE:
Since the tftpd32 program was not working for me, I decided to use another program called "haneWIN DHCP Server 2.1.6" - Download. Its a 30 day trial but theres ways to get more than 30 days. Google is your friend

I followed the setup instructions on this site: The Windows Folding Farm Server and after some tweaking of settings, i got it to work. Im going to leave my laptop on overnight and see what happens.

Cunninglinguist, the person who made the bootable image said they may update it to allow setting the time interval as well as other things here:
http://www.techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=37400

congrats to you and cunninglinguist for setting up a farm! I'm looking forward to seeing you rise the ranks!
🙂
edit: cunninglinguist: you need to contact Spitfire_x86 -- his page is still up, I don't know, if Sparky853's blog-page is still maintained! They're both up and running at the time I'm posting this; just PM them and ask if they can upload your scores...

Just a quick question here, my specs are in the link in my sig. I decided to switch to the console (service) version rather than than the GUI 3 or 4 weeks ago. I downloaded the 5.04 beta console version (with FAHmon it said I was 13% done of a 33 pointer) I checked 16 hours later and it said I was 42% done of it. I quickly changed back to the GUI version and 1 1/2 hours later it was done. Is there a problem with 5.04 and AMD or is the console version just slow?

EDIT: Just for the heck of it I put together a Celery 2.4Ghz to fold and when it wanted to send the info I connected my Inet (1 plug Highspeed modem) it lost the data. Its now folding the same 239 pointer for the third time (gotta love Intel).

EDIT AGAIN: Thanks dhlucke for making me realize folding isnt a rainy day thing. Your now stuck with me until I lose my Internet connection.

Two possibilities jump out at me:
1. Though, not likely, is that both clients were running at the same time. Thereby halving your speed.
2. Optimizations may not have been on
Check your log file it's "FAHlog.txt" in the folder where your client is installed. If the time between frames was exactly half, or if you were folding on both text files at the same time, it was probably 1.
Also check right before the first frame since the last reboot. Depending on the core, you should see something like "extra SSE boost OK". It is possible that the console version disabled it for some reason. If so use the "-forceasm" flag (ie add "-forceasm" ,no quotes, to the shortcut or whatever launches the program. Mine reads
C😛rogram FilesFolding@HomeFAH504-Console.exe -verbosity 9 -advmethods -forceasm -svcstart

Good luck.

I checked like 8 times after I switched to make sure only one was running (with windows task manager).
Anyway I am on the 5.02 console version now and it seems to be the same speed as the GUI. Both said my 121 pointer will be done around 2 this afternoon.

I read somewhere that only Intel people should run 5.04 and its seems to be true.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but we're currently #95!! Not bad! 😀
:) Yes and our production history and most of the stats look pretty promising! I don't think I recall our team ever having more than 70 active members! that's absolutely fantastic! [very happy]

Glad you stuck around. 😀 8)

Glad you gave me the kick in the butt I needed. Also glad I got an AMD my electric bill is really low for leaving it on 24/7.

EDIT: The celery is 78% done its WU (239 pointer) for the fourth time, I'm betting it screws up but I got some AS5 coming monday which might help.

Haven't had much time to as of late to see whats been happening.

Wondered how you passed me so fast. you hve two machines running now. Nice.

I have 3 machines now (if my celery ever finishes its WU), I got mine (Specs in sig), my fathers 2.4 celery and my neighboors Dell Dimension 3100.

we actually have 75 users.

to be honest. I thought once the Top 100 was met, the team would fall apart... it did slump.. but its seems like its stronger then it ever was.

Production Group Totals
1.6k+ 2
1.2k+ 0
800+ 2
400+ 9
200+ 10
100+ 18
1+ 34

sjonnie's near 6000pt/24hr average has him at 318 place overall in points earned(two week should put you in top 300 sjonnie) but his Individual Overall Rank in points per day has him at 93.

Way to Go Sjonnie!!!!

this month alone...and its not even finished, we're producing 25%+ more pionts and WUs then ever before.

I think we can safely say a biggest chunk of that is thanks to EntityAnomly, who's produced 30,000 points in less the n 2 mths!!!
God Damn!

Stefan AND Apesoccer look out!

spose i could go on forever... lots of great stats!

😀 :!:

wohooo!!! i just joined the team.. err, what am i suppose to do?do i leave this just open? i still got 166 pc @ my office to run this.. 😀 now how does this works.. :?:

I assume your both running the GUI version if so then all you need to do is enter a username and team number (40051 hopefully) and leave it run. On the cofigure screen you can go to the last tab and set how much CPU it will use.

As for points check this link:
http://jmol.sourceforge.net/fah/?project=768
just pick the project your working on and it'll give you details.

Good link but it won't work right in firefox. 🙁

It works fine in firefox 1.0.7
Nice link BTW.
right! the link is nice, for sure, but my firefox (1.5.06) doesnt like the java app as well... I can do all kinds of stuff clicking the right mouse-button, but I don't see a thing!
another nice stat-link I came across, btw...
[edit]hey, a folding-wiki! nice idea and definitely ressourceful!

Has anyone checked out the beta page lately? I'd sure like to get

Is there a way to specify the server that you get a WU from?

If you check out my stats, you'll notice that the mini-farm is starting to bear fruit 😀
I'll be putting my tax return to good use, so I should have more boxes up soon. I've got my eye on getting and staying in the top three producers 8)

I wish there was becuase I'd take the 600 point server LOL. For example, on Friday I set the celery 2.4ghz to dl deadlineless WU's and batches, seems it DL'd 10 239'ers. Meanwhile my AMD has had 121 max. As of this update (Jan 31, 2006 1PM) the celery has done 2 239'ers (478 Points) and my AMD has only done 5 WU's for 381 points counting 99 points on Saturday (which is bad becuase the celery doesn't run 24/7 like the AMD). Anyone else have issues with this point system? Seems the only WU's worth my AMD's attention are 600 pointers.

Also I'm sorry my link didn't work on Firefox, I'd have checked it but I only use Firefox when I need Java, IE doesn't like java for me (runs slow or not at all).

On another note, I ordered some Arctic Silver 5 and a new HSF for my AMD (should be here in a few days) so I may run 2 F@H consoles on my X2 soon but its at 48C with one running at the moment (I doubt HP ran this system through many tests but thats a whole nother topic).

EDIT: Also were #94 now soon to be #92 congrats all.

Ahh! My 24 hour average has gone down to 100!  It used to be in the upper 200s low 300s range with a single PC Athlon XP 2500 (2.1GHz) PC. Whats going on!?!? and to make things even worse, I have not been able to get the extra PC that I set up running as part of a folding farm since it does not support PXE booting. I had to hack the BIOS and replace the bootrom code for the network card. It seemed like it would work but it was nothing but problems. It would time out and give me PXE errors.

I contacted PCChips and asked how I could enable PXE and they said that that motherboard didnt support it, which is odd since the VIA chipset on other motherboards does support it. If only PCChips would release an official BIOS supporting PXE 🙁

The only options I have now are to use another NIC that does support PXE (dont want to use this option) or use a boot floppy disk that has the PXE boot rom in it. I tried it out and worked fine, but I couldnt get it to fold because it wouldnt download the FAH502Console from Stanford. Must be some problem with the way I have my network set up. I ordered a CompactFlash to IDE converter to try to get the PXE bootrom to load from that instead of a floppy but Im not sure how Im going to set that up.

Oh well, next time i'll make sure that the motherboard I buy supports PXE and not try to go for the cheapest one out there to save some $$$.
