Three Cheers for Our People.. Hip Hip Hooray!!!

Project Rank: 142 (-2). We ARE going to make the top 100 teams in the world just stick together.

The team average is starting to go back up. Like mine. Some of those juicy 600 pointers came our way. Last week our average was still over 100,000 points so we're doing ok but things seem to have dropped off a bit here and there.

We hit 1.5M points, Yipee! Hey look out.."sjonnie" is about to hit 300,000 points!

We have a team chasing us. Mozillazine, about position 180-185. They've picked up their average even more since the last time I mentioned it.

Was another good week fellow folders. Can't be bad at all when you do a good turn.

!!! Go Team Go !!!

If any of you have the inclination you might submit a design. Like the idea of molecules and Toms Logo and even if we don't do T-shirts it could be good elsewhere.

We continue to look for even MORE contest/team ideas 🙂.

Are you tired of folding your socks? Well then check out our folding team its where we all ended up!!! Do you have a "saying" we can use?

===========================================================
Come join us. We'd like to have you with us. There are over 100 of us Now and were nowhere near enough, we'd like your company. We're team 40051 at http://folding.stanford.edu

Well, for starters, we can put a link anywhere we are able..Say the stanford site, if they have the ability to put a home page URL.

Also, Ned_Flanders got the webmaster at THGC to put a link at the top of the forum pages.

Systems Running F@H:
AMD: [A64 3200+] [XP2800+ x2] [XP2400+]
Intel: [P4 2.8 x4] [P4 2.0] [P4 1.8] [P4 1.7] [P4 1.6 x2] [P4 1.4M] [Xeon 1.0] [Cel 1.0] [P3 ??]

How do we get the site to list on Google when a search is done on Folding or distributed computing or THGC or THG...

We can also ask local hospitals or local government organizations to post links on their sites....

Did you notice that "Mozillaine" is chasing us? They are in postion 184. They seemed to have upped their production significantly.
I'm doing all that I can. I've got my poor P4C running two F@Hs now. (Yay for HT.) Of course my automatic Windows Update stopped working because my proc is never idle now. But that was actually a good thing because I don't want it to run automatically anyway. **ROFL** I wouldn't have caught it if it hadn't stopped. Darn sneaky MS turning it back to automatic. They must have done it through one of their updates. They did the same with Messenger. I'm getting tired of turning Messenger off over and over again. :\

😱 I express to you a hex value 84 with my ten binary 'digits'. 😱

@ 185K -> 200,000 miles or bust!

I think, we should keep with the tradition of regularly posting updates in this forum...
Today I'd like to congratulate sjonnie to his 300.000 points! wow! also he's made more than 2000 workunits! another nice number!! [edit]and he's number 850 in the overall ranking! [/edit] cheers!

I would also like to say my thanks to "sjonnie" and the rest of the folders.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet Tom's Hardware Guide Community Folding Team appears as a link near the top of most pages in the forum.

Check it out. It's very very nice.

>Tom's Hardware Guide Community Folding Team appears as a link near the top of most pages in the forum.

Well done Flinx! That's truly awesome. May I suggest that you have on that page a link to a page telling people how to join up really easily. Hopefully that way we can get even more people on board.

How did Flinx get the credit? I did the page and Ned_Flanders got it put up on the forum :frown:

Regardless, if anyone wants to see stuff added or changed, e-mail me at sparky_853(at)hotmail.com or post in this thread and I will see what can be done.

And Ned, you are NOT getting your own page, although I can put a thanks on the site for getting the link posted in THGC Forums.

Systems Running F@H:
AMD: [A64 3200+] [XP2800+ x2] [XP2400+]
Intel: [P4 2.8 x4] [P4 2.0] [P4 1.8] [P4 1.7] [P4 1.6 x2] [P4 1.4M] [Xeon 1.0] [Cel 1.0] [P3 ??]

I think we should have a vote to see if Ned gets his own page. Ned will know by the smoke coming out of his computer. If the smoke from his computer is white he gets his own page(I'll take a cigar and blow the smoke into his intake fan to produce the while smoke out of the exhaust) but if it is black smoke you'll know that cigar smoke directly blown into your computer is not good so it time to get a new computer!

I didn't do the page Sparky did.

Seems they are enthusiastic but haven't read everything yet.

Sparky.. you do great work; you deserve plenty of thanks from the whole team. Not only for building the website but also for get Toms linked to it.

The loving are the daring!

OK ned then u deserve a great heap of thanks too and I'm sorry I didn't see that either (about you asking Fredi).

Thanks Ned and Sparky.

I'm having Bum trip!

Congratulations, you are now a member of the 1% club.
For those who dont know, Flinx has made it to the top 1% of folders. Yeh Flinx. Good job, and all that rot. Jolly good show. EH

Hey, i just joined the team. I am folding as i type this.

I have a couple questions that maybe you could answer.
1) if i DL this to my second computer and run it would the results be listed under my name as well? meaning i can have more then one computer run under my 1 name?
2)if i am able to do that, how do make it run as a priorty program and not a background one? Would just setting the priority in the task manager to something like "higher then normal" be alright or is there soemthing i can do with the program itself to speed things up?
Thanx

Easy questions. I like those. Yes, you can run as many instances as you like, under your name. As you can see here http://vspx27.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&teamnum=40051&username=sjonnie sjonnie is currently running 37.
F@H will use all of the cycles of your chip, that you dont. If the only thing a computer does is fold, it will run F@H at 100% cpu usage, so long as it is set that way (it is default) in the advanced config.
Keep folding
me

fold and fold with out a care
as if the m'cule wasn't there
cpu cycles fly everywhere
at little red gear I always stare
numbers rise into the air
p1140_RIBO_FSpeptide_EXT_nospring do I dare
to wish it always to be there
600 points to climb the stair
to cure disease I must not care
who passes by into the air

beyond the rank far past the score
Tom's hardware team will always soar

---But its still good to be da king (THGC) ---
