*lol*
welcome back! I guess, you'll put up a nice fight, regarding our daily averages! mine is bound to sink again, as I'm currently folding with all I've got... (and, oh, well, a few of them, I don't really OWN...) - errr...
BTW; did you see those "userbase.be"- guys???
we overtook them allready, and then: look at this update:
Last 24 Hours Production
Time Points WUs
05.12, 3pm 17,882 483
so they're back in front!! - normally they do 5-10K points A DAY!! - and then, nearly 20K in ONE update!!! - I guess, they now how to save finished WU's, too!! =))
[edit]: this should be: I HOPE, that's because they know how to save them... - we'll see..

DAMN!!

that is the case.

[UB]meon their second highest user dropped 25000 points in one day... and the same in one week.

check his activity...
Week ----- points - WUs

05.08.05 - 25,646 - 742
05.01.05 - 393 ---- 8
04.24.05 - 19,360 - 535
04.17.05 - 338 ---- 3
04.10.05 - 816 ---- 12
04.03.05 - 1,170 -- 31
03.27.05 - 0 ------ 0
03.20.05 - 17,163 - 484

however looks like they be keeping that up

Month - Points - WUs
05.05 - 26,039 - 750
04.05 - 21,684 - 581
03.05 - 34,869 - 976
02.05 - 34,964 - 972
01.05 - 32,913 - 841
12.04 - 3,309 -- 48
11.04 - 2,836 -- 33
10.04 - 4,594 -- 42

What I want to know, is how with only 99 users, they managed to fold 483 WU in one 3 hour period, when usually is around 5-6. Sounds weird to me.

Looks Like their second highest producer, [UB]meon posted 741 WU in a six hour window, with only 2 active processors? Does this strike anyone else as bizarre???

Systems Running F@H:
AMD: [A64 3200+] [XP2800+ x2]
Intel: [P4 2.8 x4] [P4 2.0] [P4 1.8] [P4 1.7] [P4 1.6 x2] [P4 1.4M] [Xeon 1.0] [Cel 1.0] [P3 ??] [P3 500]

I think its like Stephan is saying. Meon is saveing up WUs on both Processors.

However i did a little math...correct me if im wrong.

at 750 WU's in two weeks time thats more then 2 WU's and hour. provided they dropped them on the same day/time two weeks ago.

So is it possible to produce 1 WU an hour on one CPU? with this amount of points being earned from each?(meaning are these large WU's or small).

I think so... 25,656 / 742 = 34.5 points on average.

So if there is something Fishy i guess it is, How does Meon manage to get such small WUs?

More likely it's some sort of render farm, that's folding as a background app. The 2 chips that show could be an HT enabled asignment server, or a dual chip work station. It is probably not generally "on line", but only connects for assignments.

Thanks for the info, I just created a shortcut on the desktop to winF@H(for the windows version) and added
" -verbosity 9" after the quote on the target line.

I just ran the test again with out have connected to the internet yet.

could the connection make that big a differance?

I mean it only makes sence that i sould be ahead of ChipDeaths Celeron 2.4 GHz 512 MB...

no. I could do the same anytime. about 2 thirds of my folding PC's are behind a firewall that's configured in a way that let's the PC's only collect WU's and not to send them back.
So all I'd have to do is let them fold with a distinct username (and of course for 741 WU's to accumulate) and then send the WU's results just from one PC that's connected to the net properly...
I've explained in a different thread how to send back the WU's results with a different PC... - to tired to look it up now...
cheers!

Build your own Folding@Home farm with tons of MOBOs and chips all run from a single server - hooray

yeah! we're behind them "(.Y.)" tits!! I think, that's great! I would say, this is a lifetime achievement! I mean, what else?
cheers!!

perhaps being infront of (.Y.) would be a little nicer... don't you think?

I havent folded for the last month or so, but i am back. I downloaded the version that doesnt have the screensaver. How do you check the status of the download? I remember an icon in the taskbar but I dont have one this time. In taskmanager FAH502Console and FahCore_78 run automatically. Does anyone know how I can check the status?

jou!
search for "FAHConsole.exe" instead. It looks like you just downloaded and started it. It should be in your default "WWW-Download-Folder" (browser-setting-dependent). There it created the files "queue.dat" "FAHlog.txt" "unitinfo.txt" "license.txt" "FahCore_XX.exe" "client.cfg" "readme.txt" and the folder "work". You can just take those (while the folding is _NOT_ running!!) and put them in a specified directory and start the folding again... it should start from where you stopped before (this info is in "queue.dat" and the "work"-dir [also of course in "unitinfo.txt" but less important])

passed the 2000 mark with a 600 Pointer! (2206) / 7 WUs

Question tho
im folding p1477 (gromacs) but i don't see it posted on the current projects page... does this normally happen... i wanted to find out how many points it was worth.

The 1477s are great. They are worth 364 points, but go fast. The reason they are not posted right now is because we have finished them off (boo hoo). Fortunately, a diferent variation will probably come out again soon.
