What would i do immediately after leaving the vault? considering that ive never worked out a day in my life, i would probably walk about 100m, feel ive walked a 50 mile marathon, and take a break. i would then fall asleep, and probably wake up a couple hours later with a gun to my face. then id die. Talk about a life worth living!

Find my hidden stash of bottle caps and spend it on booby pins and laser/plasma guns. Learn how to use a power armor and try to make the world a better place.

Find man's best friend, Power Armour, a Minigun, some scrap, start a few villages, annihilate all the bandits with style in VATS, conquer the New Boston wasteland and become its sole king and sovereign ruler. Then probably start the main quest and a few side quests while looking for easter eggs and avoiding dreaded death claws and creative traps. XD

What would i do? Well the wasteland isn't a place for a guy like me but i would probably prepare myself..
1) get some supplies and guns for my trip
2) explore the wasteland and look for survivors
3) kill everyone and take their crap
4) try to find fu**ed up creatures, kill 'em and take some body parts for experiments
5) find a deathclaw..
6) ???
7) ???
8) ded

Emerging from the vault I would find all the allys I can muster and create a like minded mutants and people and then take over the world of which I would of course be the king to rule after taking it over.

well i guss i would go and look for a burger
also i would get myself a minefield cuse everybody knows landmines are a must in an apocalyptic Future 😉

Assuming that I have all the knowledge I do now and that I'm exiting from Vault 111 in place of Fallout 4's protagonist:

Upon leaving the vault the first thing I will do is make sure I can bleed. A large portion of Fallout 4's quest line that has been released seems to center around The Institute and synths. If I am a synth I will need to find some red liquid that I can use as "blood" or some other way to prove my humanity if necessary. If not, I need to focus on studying science in order to gain a firm enough grounding that I can pass myself off as a synth if necessary.

Now I start working behind the scenes, playing the factions against each other while getting rid of the extremists. After a while I start rumors about a third faction of cyborgs being created - that are extremely hostile, and have a clear advantage over both humans and synths. Next, I begin staging attacks on settlements in order to validate the rumors. The best case scenario would be humans and synths coming together to protect themselves against the threat, but if it doesn't happen organically I will need to make inroads with both groups in order to propose the union personally. After they seem to be willing to work together for the long term, I'll find somewhere with a warhead or high explosive and detonate in an uninhabited area and claim credit for neutralizing the threat.
Then I'll go back to the vault and see if I can replicate the necessary conditions to survive another 200 years so that I can see what becomes of everything.

Any other Vault:
Check radiation levels, find a skeleton to carry around with me, head for civilization.

I would look for the highest ground location in the area and start building my new base there. Some day, it will be like a fortress, where I can snipe feral ghouls and other creatures. I always build high.

I'd take my dog for a walk as he surely wants to breath fresh air again after spending so much time in the stinky vault

The first time exiting the vault.
I should take off all of my clothes if possible like previous games and run as far as I can, after running as far as I can I shall possibly jump off the tallest thing I can find.
I will also kill as much as I can while being as naked as I can in the game.

I would try to establish an internet connection; if I found the internet no longer existed then I'd probably just lie down and wait for death…

…it may not be the best plan, but it's a plan.

Scour the vast tracks of wasteland for a post-apocalyptic brothel, it's been a long time man and I need to think straight if I'm going to survive in this future!

Ok, I have just exited the vault which I have lived in my entire life. Vault meant security and safety as well as edible food/water. I have heard horror stories about what the wasteland outside the vault was like, and now its needed for me to explore that horror.

Going to assume I have a mission and can not make this vault my base of operation for one reason or another. Will also assume I am on limited supplies with limited weapons. Here is what I would do.

1: Go into hiding and try to gather as much information on my surroundings. This means setting up a defensible position and slowly exploring the area around it.
2: Encounter some bandits and try to watch them until an encounter is forced. Would try to talk but they would open fire so a few things will happen at this point.
2a: I die and my corpse rots.
2b: I flee scared shitless and try to convince the Vault to allow me back in.
2c: I flee into my defensible position and hold the enemy off.
2d: I kill them and take there stuff. This has emboldened me and I now think im a badass.
3: Going to assume 2d occurred as I like to consider myself a badass. Most likely a/b would have actually occurred. Now I have more weapons/ammo and expand my defensible position as well as my area of control.
4: With radio information, dead bandits, and a better understanding of the area I continue to explore further out until I reach the nearest town.
5: I watch town for a few days and enter after i am certain they will not kill me on site.
6: I enter town and begin my new life in the wasteland. Most explorers do not live long and I likely will die within a year.

At first I will examine the surroundings from a top area as much as possible, then I will make a safehouse by collecting scraps, or by digging a cave. Then I will make the safehouse stronger day by day. At the same time I will recruit new members and start my own civilization.
