I do. It was the only configuration that I could go with due to the size of the cards. I did a little research and monitoring and I think I'm ok, but it was certainly a concern up front (and still something I'm aware of).

I'm less of an enthusiast than it might appear. I couldn't justify a custom water solution as I didn't have the time to research it fully and do a solid job; a shame, I realize.
: )

Here is my new rig. I'm just getting into the PC scene again after 6 years as a mac user. I finally got tired of paying twice as much for 1/2 the performance and decided to build a PC. Also, gaming on mac is sh*t.

This is my very first build I absolutely love it's performance. Thanks to Why_Me in the new systems forum for coming up with this build for me. No problems with it yet.

However, being my first build, it has absolutely no color scheme. On top of that, all those Noctua fans I added are that lovely shade of....beige. Moto, go easy on me with the CM 😀 . I really put a lot of work into trying to hide those cables, but I'm sure there is more I could do. The hardest part to deal with in my opinion are those pci-e 6 + 2 pin connectors that my Asus 670s require. I tried to tape them together to minimize their uglyness. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get a cleaner look out of those--I am all ears.

Yes my rig has 7 case fans, yes it sounds like a harrier jet taking off. However, I have managed to drop my temps pretty good because of the fans. I was having problems with the top card getting into the high 70s before I added all the fans, now it never gets above 70 - 71, and even then only after binge gaming.

I don't know if it's cool to solicit suggestions in this thread about asthetics. If not just say so and I will make another post asking for advice about asthetics. If no one minds though, I am definitely open to suggestions to make it look...well...better. It just seems a little bland now after seeing all those beautiful rigs you guys have. I am really impressed by the work some of you have put into your computers to get them looking so good.

Thanks man! I put a lot of work into it. Next step I think is to learn how to sleave cables, even though that looks incredibly time consuming. 😉

**Moto, go easy on me with the CM . I really put a lot of work into trying to hide those cables, but I'm sure there is more I could do.**

You know what?
I go easy on no-one but you have nothing to worry about man,
that there is a fine looking build and it shows that you have put a fair effort into the Cm, yes there are niggly Ocd tweaks to be found but by no means is it messy enough to the point where I'd have to break into your house to sort them out,
And I hear you on the Gfx cards lines, always a pain with them :)
Great build man and as its your first,
**C.M. Award for Nstiver**
Give it a week or two and you'll be at it again hehe
Moto

Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate the positive feedback! 😀 I guess maybe I am more critical of my own rig than I am of others. Feel free to shoot me some suggestions for colors for LEDs or how exactly one dyes fans!

"by no means is it messy enough to the point where I'd have to break into your house to sort them out"...Thanks Moto 😛

Dude those screens are a little on the small side. Anyway, it looks like you embraced the beige of the Nocs and made your cable sleeves the same color scheme-nice thinking. Nice set up BTW. If I may ask, what resolution are your screens and what kind of FPS are you getting in BF3? Did you OC the 7970s?

'Embrace the beige' /shudder, sounds like a euphemism lol
bit of cablework to do, I like how the Noctua's beige goes with the army green, kinda works well,
Wouldn't have it on the floor though, the dust filter on the Hsf (nice touch btw) is showing signs of dustbunny breeding :)
Nice set up and enjoy it man :)
Moto

That case isn't doing those 7970's any justice. It looks like they have hardly any room to breath especially with all those wires. What are your temps?
