Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words. It's a lot easier to work in than the Rosewill and I brewed a pot of coffee and just took my time. It's still kind of a disaster behind the motherboard, but there will be no photos of back there!

I always wanted this case, it was expensive when I was first building about this time last year, then I had the opportunity to sell and rebuild around Black Friday and they had this case for $60 shipped on Newegg. Well I didn't have my money together until the next day and it had sold out! I was furious and I settled with the Blackhawk. It looked awesome on the website but it had a couple of flaws that left me wanting more. I picked this Fractal up off of OCN for $75 shipped, and it was still kind of pricey but I was pleasantly surprised at how good of condition it was in.

I have one gripe, and that is the 5.25" bays. I have a fan controller and DVD-RW, I want the fan controller on top, but with the DVD-RW on the bottom I can't use one of the matching 90 degree SATA cables that I used on all my other drives because the 5.25" housing gets in the way. So I guess I have to switch the controller and DVD-RW around or just settle for an unmatching SATA cable.

You're welcome!

well, tech these days and advancements - no need for ODD, use external ODD or a thumbdrive. That 5 1/4 " bay can used for something else maybe - well if you'll be watercooling with maybe an H220, then you won't need to use the drivebays for the bay res off of a XSPC entry loop or even on a custom loop.

I'm curious though - who'd you buy it off of? I'm subbed into the Fractal thread on OCN cos of the work some people have there - eg: Malik's brilliant piece of art. I think you can go to that finish as well! Keep trying and keep pushing yourself - someday you'll end up crazy like Modo and I 😛

Right on man I appreciate it, That fortress case makes me re think my whole build :??:

I got it from "airdeano"

He got it back from a client that he builds for who wanted an upgrade.

I had a XSPC X2O 750 res/pump and a swiftech 240mm rad that I was going to start a loop with. I ended up selling them when I was strapped for cash. Trouble is with this 3570K that I delidded, I'm way more voltage bound than temperature bound. I fold 24/7 at 4.8GHz with a max temp of 60C. If I want 4.9 or 5.0 I would be pushing some dangerous voltage. I got a couple of jobs coming up, I might start acquiring more watercooling parts. I will have to stop switching my hardware so often though because with my habits I would spend more time draining and filling than I would using the PC!

Nice shots. Although I was inside both of mine today shuffling video cards and giving spring BJs, I didn't think either worthy of posting. My temps are good, but I've got a stray wire here or there, and no case lighting. The interior of Uther's would make anything I did cry anyway.

Nice rigs everyone! Here are a couple of my build. While certainly not as spectacular many of these, I'd like to think I've done the best with what I've got. This case has pretty much no cable management options. There's maybe an 1/8th of an inch behind the mobo tray. I cut some holes so i could have a couple more options and drilled a bunch in the bottom as well so I could flip the psu. I'd love your thoughts and if you have any tips!

CPU: Fx8320 (haven't overclocked it yet but that's my next project)
GPU: PowerColor HD6670 (works fine since I only play at 1360x768)
RAM: 8 GB 1866 G.SKILL Sniper
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-990fx UD3
PSU: Non-modular 750W Antec
Case: Antec DF-10
HDD: 1TB Barracuda (system and storage) 320GB WD laptop drive I had laying around as a backup drive.

Well, unless you're planning on a graphics card upgrade, you could reduce cable clutter considerably by replacing your otherwise excellent PSU with a much smaller one. The 380W Earthwatts would do, or the Seasonic SSR-360GP.

Yeah I plan on getting a new monitor and a new card to go along with it. I know that the psu is overkill but it came in a newegg bundle and I don't feel the need to get something smaller. Thanks for the suggestion though! Anything else you guys can think of?

I like it, I had that chip and motherboard at one time. It was fun to play with. Once you start overclocking the VRMs on that board get extremely hot. You might have to find a way to mount a little 80mm fan over them if you want to squeeze more than 4.6GHz out of that chip and motherboard, because it will limit your clocking ability. Cool VRMs = Happy Motherboard = Higher overclocking potential.

What is the case for the one in the middle?

Just updated my rig with new graphics, 3 way SLI GTX Titan with EK Waterblock! Upgraded my PSU from 850W Gold to PC Power & Cooling Silencer MKIII 1200W Platinum as well to power the Titans!
