Specs:
AMD FX-6100 OCed to 3.9GHz (OCed to help with Bottleneck)
16GB DDR3 SD RAM
XFX AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 OCed to 1GHz
2x 1TB HDDs
650w PSU

Upgrades i want to do in the future:
AMD FX-8350
add another AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
replace PSU with a 750w PSU

its nothing special but it gets the job done

650w is PLENTY for 2 7850's. BUT if this is your board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519 you will need a new motherboard in order to Crossfire, because this board can only run the second PCIe lane at x4.

Yeah im most definitely getting either the 8350 or 8320 then getting the 7970 and selling the 7850
do you think that 650w PSU would be okay with the FX-8350 and HD 7970?

You could get an 8320 and overclock it to the speeds of the 8350 while saving money in the process.

Yeah but you can also get an 8350 and clock it even higher. That's how binning works in general. I got my 8350 at 4.8Ghz so far on water. I could easily go to 5Ghz, I went water for quietness so I keep it at 4.8 to and run the fans at a low speed.

A 990 chip set motherboard will be necessary for an FX-83XX, especially if thinking about overclocking.

Also, I think this is going a little off-topic. 😉

I have a 970 chipset with an 8320 overclocked. :bounce:

There are a few exceptions. You probably have the Asus m5a97. Either that or you got lucky with a well built unit that at least has a VRM heat sink. If not, I question how long it will run stable.

Last snap of my current setup before I go to full watercooling. It's currently in a state of disarray, cables need tying and tucking, but I had been swapping a lot of fans around and whatnot, trying different configurations.

The all in one on the video card sure helps with temp :) just keep an eye on the VRMs(but with that fan i am sure it is great :)).
