Its a workstation, so it does what it needs to do. That dynex has lasted me right through superstorm sandy, and about 3 or 4 years in my old workstation, and that old workstation still runs. I was concerned about it frying my system before, but, so far its been pretty good.

It is my first build, and the case sadly didnt have enough room for all the cables I did the best I could with cable ties but nobodies perfect right?
[/quotemsg]

The case can make a huge difference for cable management, Corsair R series is cheap and great check my rig should be at the end.

Lots of really cool builds in this thread. Appreciate everyone sharing their work. :)

Just finished building my new system last weekend. Nothing too special, but it's my first complete build, getting back into PC's after 8 years of console gaming, so I'm very proud. 😀

Built it to be a fast and capable gaming machine for years to come, all for under $1000 CDN (including OS). I think I did pretty good in terms of performance per dollar. I'm never going to overclock, hence the decision to save some money by not going with the 4670k and Z87 motherboard. 😉

CPU - Intel Core I5-4570 (Haswell)
CPU Cooler - Stock Intel
Motherboard - Gigabyte H87N Wifi mini-ITX
RAM - Kingston Hyper X Black 8GB (2 x 4) 1600
GPU - Gigabyte Windforce HD7950 3GB DDR5
Storage - Samsung 840 120GB SSD (Will be adding more very soon)
PSU - Cooler Master GX RS650W 80+ Bronze non-modular
Case - Fractal Design Node 304 (Black)
OS - Windows 8

The cabling looks a little messy, but I assure you, there is order in that chaos. 😉 Air is free to flow right through the case and all cables are well-clear of any fan blades. Besides, I don't really care what it looks like on the inside as long as it performs, which it certainly does! 😉

If any one is wondering... this case has great airflow and even with the stock CPU cooler, core temps sit around 30*C +/- at idle and hover around 45*C while gaming. Same goes for the Windforce HD7950 GPU. Best of all; I love the fact that this is just as fast as my friend's $1400+ full tower ATX monster gaming PC but only 1/4 the size! hehe. 😀

Nice system fellas. This is my final water cooling loop before I tore the system down to modify my case. Will also share the final work on the case mod once it's done. For now, enjoy what it used to be. Cheers hero1😀

This PC is rock solid and the gaming is great. The 680/770 is a really powerful card, and is really the first video card where I can run my games at the full resolution of my monitor (30in @2560x1600) without turning turning down the aliasing or other quality features.

This case is awesome (review here - http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/07/07/corsair_carbide_series_air_540_computer_case_review/#.UjymwxAre0I) - I would highly recommend it. Super cool, and the easiest build i ever did.
My only regret is the Corsair 100i cooler. I should have gone for the Corsair 110. While the 100i does cool very well, the software just does not cooperate with Window 8..

alpha - it'd be best if you could make a new thread and post a link here to direct some of the members to help you out. The first post in this thread states the rules. Best not to get a moderator involved again on this thread :)

I'll try and help you out on your thread too.

I'm only here to show off my AMAZING cable managment (sarcasm)

Haha, but no seriously, it's a 2013 build. I thought i share with you, cause' it's finally finished (also with the peripherals).

It plays all games on highest settings, however the GPUs always reach 80*C haha

That's. good to hear! I'm not looking at any extreme over clock that would call for water cooling, but I'll take that into account! I'm starting to think I should buy two 770 4 GB and use sli...

Nice new piece of hardware! I'm yet on the fence about going mechanical...eyeing the K65 compact. I'd like to see a full shot of your system alongside your worktop, if possible :)

Any upgrades pertaining to watercooling in the future?

There's a bunch of upgrades I would like to make but my wallet isn't cooperating.

I do plan on getting a new res and a D5 pump top though. Possibly getting a 360mm rad to put up top instead of the 240mm.

I went mechanical last month and now there's no way I can go back.

I will take an updated picture tonight or this weekend and post it here.

Thank You for the shots! That rig looks at home though I have one gripe :S that tubing routes can be reworked to be more fluid and your cablemanagement is outstanding 😉 but your res looks a lil edgy...

I need to find a better way to mount the res. That's why I was thinking a D5 pump top that takes a tube res as well. The tubing all has to be pulled out anyway. Performance-PCs sent me Primochill PRO instead of Primochill Advanced LRT. PRO is known for plasticizing and yellowing. Performance PC's denies my claim, Primochill sent me 3x more tubing than I had originally ordered, for free, and offered their condolences. After comparing all the tubing, their is no doubt in my mind I was sent the wrong stuff by Performance PCs. This pic is just water, and was taken a couple of days after loop installation...

Note how crystal clear my res and water are, then look at the tubing...

This was just minutes after installation...
