Over 48 hours ago when I posted my last one.

Could have waited until morning I suppose.

Still have one to post, will wait until the 12th.

Other people will see other spamming scores and follow through. Just trying to prevent everyone from ignoring the rule and spamming my inbox with CPU scores.

I thought it was 72 hours until I looked once you posted. :(

13. For the sake of cleanliness and keeping order, please only submit one CPU every 72 hours.
I don't want people who collect CPUs benchmarking 20 at a time and cluttering up this thread.

I have a few socket 478 CPUs I wanna throw on, the best one I have gets like...275.

1. its a work computer and i run 6 monitors 3 per card

2. CPU is running at 4.28 not 4.8 and is a gen 1 socket 1366, stock score on it was 8811 with a Single thread of 1544.

3. Back when this was a new computer i went through a lot of testing with this rig. CPU was a 950 that ran at 4.6Ghz 24/7 and 4.9 for benchmarks. Tested multiple kits of ram from all manufactures and ended up on a set of mushkin 1600Mhz 6-8-6-24 that would overclock to over 2400Mhz. Tested out a dozen GTX 480 till i got a set of good OC's

Guess i've always had good luck with mushkin ram, good Mhz, low CL, and can overclock like mad men.

My RAM is at 9-9-9-24 right now at 3166Mhz. DDR3. My board only officially supports 3K.

I thought it said 4.8, my bad. But even for 4.2Ghz my CPU isn't much newer than yours, your single threaded should be a bit higher.

So the one issue i have right now is the board wont boot with ram set over 1333Mhz I had to drop from a 27 multiplier to a 23 to get my ram to run at 1500Mhz, but i think this is a Xeon issue.

I had a 980x up until the motherboard water block decided to leak and take the board and cpu out. Had to get a new board and had the xeon laying around.

just thinking about it, it might be a bios issues. I saw i was on bios 2 but i think i only flashed bios 1 to the newest. -> didnt help

That last single threaded score of 1800 makes more sense to me, but I still think at that frequency, which is higher than I can hope to achieve on my E3-1240, you should still have a better single threaded score than me.

Is your Xeon a sixcore?

Also, my Xeon technically only supports 1333MHz RAM, I had to mess with the northbridge config and disable CSM to get it stable at all, and even though I have 24GB of RAM sometimes when it gets over 20-ish GB when I'm rendering my PC crashes.

I'm looking at ECC modules, it's only $115 for 32GB of 1600MHz DDR3, considering current prices is an amazing deal - another reason to not upgrade and stay 5 years in the past.

Also looking at an E3 1290 v2, can't wait to BCLK to 4.5GHz. The E3-1290 v2 has a base of 3.7 and a boost of 4.1GHz, and Ivy Bridge is more tolerant of BCLK OC than Sandy Bridge is.

To get my E3-1240 to 4Ghz boost I'd need to overclock the BCLK to 108.1...not gonna happen, it fails to complete POST at 106.0. Right now it's at 105.78 stable, my Z77 Sabertooth is kinda broken (missing a pin) and only did 105.5, which is still a healthy overclock.

Yeah my Xeon is a 6 core. I ended up go over to the place my brother works at and went through their storage room of old computers and found another 980x. Going to throw that in over the weekend and see what it can do.

So the 980X is still retardedly expensive...why? It's nearly 10 years old!

980x @ 27x166 4.49GHz, as a full score it did better then a 6600k @ 4.5Ghz. Thats why a 8 year old cpu still sells for almost $200 on ebay.

Holy $#!T

Edit: How many cores does that have? The single threaded score is about the same as my E3 1240 at 3.7GHz, but the overall score makes no sense.

Single threaded scores are only done on one core. So my Xeon can do the same ops on one core that your i7 can do on one core, except my Xeon does it at a lower frequency.

If I could get my Xeon to 4.5GHz, which would require a base clock of over 120Mhz, my single threaded score would kill...

And paid less than $100 for my Xeon. Original price on Amazon was $95, but the seller refunded half because it arrived late.

Also another reason why Ryzen is absolute garbage for gaming. Single threaded scores are poo.

So both the X5690 and 980x are 6 core 12 thread cpus. Setting them to the same speed 4.06Ghz the x5690 did 9960 while the 980x did 10055, i think this is more do to the ram.

The Xeon had to start at 1333Mhz and could not surpass mid 1500Mhz while the 980x started at 1600Mhz CL9 and could go up to almost 2000Mhz CL11.

I had an 870, can confirm that score is accurate. Sold the rig it was in with a GTX 660 for like $400

I had an i5 3470 non-s, it got like 7800 ish, so that lower score due to lower clocks seems pretty accurate. Dunno exactly how Passmark calculates single threaded scores, but clock and IPC have a lot to do with it

Will update the table in a little bit. I need to ad my Socket 478 Pentium at 2.8Ghz lol

I have a Core 2 Duo E8500 and LGA 775 P4 3.4 GHz I could test and a Pent 3 1GHz, not to mention my Laptop with a P4 2.8 GHz in it.

I might mess with them later, haven't made up my mind yet.

Have to put together the P3 and P4 machines to run them.

I have a few more also, I5 750, XEON X3450, Core 2 Duo E4600, Core 2 Duo E6300, P3 933.

Got rid of a bunch awhile back, and motherboards too. Above are just the ones I have motherboards for. Have a few old P2's and P3's around also and a bunch of Pent 1's and 486's. Still need to dump a bunch more stuff yet.

Paladin that is so true, I run the computer in my sig at home. Just yesterday i was pricing out parts for a 8700k build and stopped and was like what the hell do i need this for, my current build does everything i need it to do now.

grins, did that around xmas, and after reviewing both my wife's and mine systems, we decided to not do upgrades, and collect the 2500$ saved and go spend a week in Ireland instead :) and get disconnected and have a pub crawl of a good time ...

When I first joined these forums I had a Dell 17R Special Edition, did everything I needed it to. But I wasn't in the best of places during my life at that time (I was living in my friend's garage).

Now look at what I've got, hahaha

Paladin, please, only one score every 72 hours. I do this on break usually and I like to actually eat on break too...

@Robert Ban Yeah, even a first gen i3 does pretty well, however my only motherboard that's 1156 ATM is a server board (PowerEdge R210).

I'll be adding my Xeon, Q9550, and Q9400 soon-ish, I'm remodeling my server room so that's fairly time consuming. I'll add my R710's scores soon too. Just gotta fix the iRDAC problem...
