i love the Forza Horizon 3, the improved version over the other generations are really good. its game mechanics and visuals are almost realistic. hope that this game gets ported to VR so that i can enjoy it more

What's your favorite racing game? Is it a simulator? Mario Kart? An arcade classic like Hydro Thunder?

That is actually a hard answer for me. So long it was Gran Turismo 2 on the Playstation. It was great and awesome. I remember driving a mini cooper on one track with a giant hill at the end of it. The mini almost didn't make it up the hill.

Other great ones that I really enjoyed, Sonic All Stars Transformed, GT5, Burnout Paradise, Grid Autosport, and the Crew.

My favorite racing game would be, Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box. Had the most fun playing it. Favorite racing game that's more racing appropriate though? I'd have to say, Need For Speed: Unleashed would be it.

Wave Race 64 for the Nintendo 64 from 1996.

But there are other games, which could be the best racing game. I just had to decide. On the same league to me, there is original Super Mario Kart, F-Zero X, Gran Turismo 2

Edit: I have 0 entriee too.

I will go with Need For Speed Underground 2. It was a tough choice since there are so many great racing games.

Ok I already posted an answer but it says I have 0 entries so this is a repeat lol. Need For Speed Underground 2 tops my list.

I haven't played many racing games, but I had a lot of fun with Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit. Outrunning the police, getting them to crash into other cars or trucks, was a blast.

I'm not usually much of a racer, though when playing GTAV online, I probably race more than any of the other gaming options.
I loved the older GTA games that were top down and racing around in those games was an absolute hoot...
As an all time favorite I'd probably have to go with Destruction Derby, simply because it was the first game with really good vehicle destruction physics - blew my mind.
Of the Dirt series, I probably played the first Dirt the most - Colin McRae: Dirt (2007) and I've been debating with my friend whether we should get Dirt 3 or 4, but after taking a good look at the content and all the extra multiplayer features of Dirt 4, we both want to get Dirt 4.
I just can't afford it yet, so am obviously crossing my fingers to get it here 😉

I loved the old Micro Machines games back on the megadrive. With four friends around it was a blast! Otherwise I just can't get enough of Wipeout style autisme style driving/memorisation.

I can't really nail it down to one since the games that stood out from my past are quite diverse. so take a pick out of:

- Colin McRae Rally 2.0
- Need for Speed Underground 2
- Burnout 3: Takedown
- Gran Turismo 4
- GTR2

Mario Kart, probably. I remember playing the early versions as a kid with my family, since it was so accessible. Brings back memories now.

It's a tough one, so many good games over so many years. Think I have to go for moto GP on the Xbox, the control scheme and how the bikes handled also was the first online racing game I had played. Must of done over a thousand hours just trying to scrape milieseconds of my lap times. Made the the top few thousand on the leader boards overall and top couple hundred on Mugello.

Honourable mentions

Grand prix Amiga
Micro machines snes
Sega rally saturn
Daytona usa saturn
Virtua racing saturn
Mario cart snes
Burnout paradise 360
Metropolis street racer dreamcast
Project Gotham racing Xbox
Colin McRae rally PlayStation
Richard burns rally ps2

Can't think of anymore but I'm sure I have missed a few. Rocket league would be my number one but I don't class that as a racer.

My favourite is not necessarily the best racing game. I believe the Forza series to be up there with the best.

My favourite has to be NFS Porsche 2000 and NFS MW (2005). I put so many hours into those games.

But Porsche has to win because of the authenticity of the game. It was difficult and the cars were amazing with the history of Porsche presented to my childhood mind in a manner that made me a Porsche fan forever.
