you can only do so much with a low res image but likely i can find a better image out there to work with.

I don't think he does, at least it's no Thor image that I have ever seen. The Thor comic books were my favorite when I was younger, a lot younger like 50 years ago.

If you look at a comic book character that's what it looks like a comic book. If you look at the picture posted by Manofchalk it looks more real but still it's not. If you look at the movis that was just out you have a real person playing THOR and there is only so much you can do with a real person.
So it has to be a combination of the real and the not real, but not comic book. The picture that I posted is good but the resolution is a bit fuzzy, the picture above my post is very clear , so I guess it's a matter of finding something like that but only Thor.

Best example of something like that I know of would be the cutscenes from InFamous, which are also an amazing example of Motion Graphics and 2.5D animation.
