for request wallpaper , i need to details

Example

i can't design this request:
nvidia card , asus board , amd card and ...with toms logo , not have a details

i can design this request:
nvidia gtx 780 or 670 or .... with asus rog z77 mainboard with tom's logo

Since Reynod has not responded yet I will try to assist , the Nvidia card and Asus board models are not important so what you suggested would be fine. The Asus GTX 780 and the Asus rog z87 would do, are you ok with the links that I gave you for Crashman and Sharknado ?

yes , is very good

thank you:)

@reynod

dont forget that i'm lurking here as well and am skilled in my own right 😉

do you have any decent resolution images of thomas we can work with? please link us a few since not everyone is familiar with him and we may get the wrong person which wouldnt be good. photos of him working on computers, sitting at the desk or drinking morning cofee would be superb.

what is his favorite asus motherboard and nvidia gpu? it could be what he is currently working with now.

is sharnada the movie which shows up in google?

rezasam i think crashman is his username.

what are his preferences? tastes? likes/dislikes? hobbies? you dont have to go into detail but any information can help us match something to his own "style"

@all

would there be any interest in the large 2560x1600 or dual 4160x1080 and tri 5160x1080 or possibly 16:10 1920x1200 resolutions? sometimes odd sizes can be hard to find wallpapers for.

wont let me edit the post.. gives me 404 error..

anyways looks like i missed page 4 (or it just popped up while i was writing) so some answers were answered however if you can get some more details that would let me fine tune the image for him.

@knott i'll have a go at it for you

@ssddx, it gives everyone the 404 error. Lots of things are buggy right now and we aren't really sure why. Quoting other users either results in a blank message box or a 404 error, as well - in case you come across this too. The admin are aware and by extension, the devs. It should all be fixed shortly.

ssddx

Some of us has the skills and some do not! Thanks!

If I ask really nicely can you put it on a white background so I can make it into a case badge? Or is that something I should be able to do with three clicks in Paint?

@wyomingknott

edit... looks like reza created his own version in the new shade of blue without a drop shadow. i know the old style blue with the drop shadow is how intel had the logo at the start. i think the new logo is the light blue with no drop shadow.

all i really had to do was add a white layer underneath since it was a transparent png file. if you copied the file into paint and already had a white background you may have been able to do it. using photoshop, paintshop pro (cheaper) or gimp (free) can also do it with more options.

there is actually a website out there where you can type anything you want into it and it spits out the intel font in the logo. it didnt do a very good job so i just copied the letters from there and pasted them into the logo in photoshop myself and added a drop shadow. you can likely do the same thing in paint if you start from the shadow level up (since paint doesnt have layers). just for future reference so you know how it can be done.

you do NOT want to resize the image if you intend to print it out and make a case badge. the image is currently 1800x1200 and depending on what your printer settings are (dpi) will determine what the final size of the image will be. for instance if printed at 300dpi the image would be 6" wide. if printed at 600dpi it would be 3". its quite common to have printers up to 1200dpi which wouldbe a 1.5" wide image. the higher you keep the dpi the better looking the case badge will be. only resize the image if absolutely required and do keep the png format.

just some friendly advice from industry experience.

http://www.images-graphics-pics.com/signs/sign-generator/?allow=456&text=intel+inside&font=Intel&color=blue&fontsize=60&move2=&move=&rot=0&pic=Intel-Inside-Logo&height=&width=&offx=5&offy=5&spacing=&gradient=&tag=&bubble=&bubH=&bubW=&watermark=&background=&border=&picURL=&shade=&shadecolor=white

i copied the letters from the logo it creates and pasted them into another logo i blanked out. i would have preferred to use an actual font for crisper edges but i couldnt find one legally (it requires a paid license). i wonder if rezasam managed to find a freeware font which was close enough or if he managed to find letters somewhere like i did.

its no trouble.

@ssddx - I had already been there, tried that, and failed - that's where I got stumped with a watermark. Plus it needs to be rotated. Have I mentioned that I'm not good with images six times already? So I appreciate the help.

since i never really got any details i decided to give it a go on my own.

pardon the low resolution images used but i used the best i could find for sharknado which granted were not very high quality. instead of using the same graphic over and over like rezsam (and he did do a very nice job of stiching them all together but thats just not my style) i decided to go for something unique.

hope you like it. from one of the posts i read by crashman about his ego being huge i think he may get a laugh out of it as well.

1920x1080

If you could have superimposed Crashmans face over that of the girl it would have been a winner. There also needed to be a Nvidia video card in there along with the motherboard.

Here's Reynods request post;

Now rez ... here is a difficult one for you ... a real challenge.

Try to put together a toms wallpaper with an Nvidia card and an Asus board and a little picture of crashman (thats Thomas Soderstrom one of our reviewers).

Possibly add some graphic content from Sharknado in there too ...

He will either love it or hate it ... there is no grey with crashman.

If he likes it you just might see it on the screen of some PC he is torturing to death in the future ... you never know.

the problem is that i dont have any good photos of crashman/thomas soderstrom. the avatar photo is too small to be of much account. i searched on google, facebook, myspace, twitter, his profile here and i really didnt find anything that looked like him according to that small photo. i gave up trying to find anything half decent and was certainly not going to copy rezasam's idea of putting the photo over the crashman text.

i could likely add a nvidia card in there. that wouldnt be too hard as i have a place for it.

not sure if he would approve of being superimposed on a girls body however attractive as she may be! if you can find a few half decent resolution photos i'll see what i can do with them. since i couldnt find anything i left it out.

i added in the nvidia gpu. we now have a asus gtx 690 & asus maximus v shown.

i used the tiny photo i had of thomas but put a tom's hat on him and changed his shirt color. since something was missing i threw in two rather bold quotes he made in this thread here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/116164-28-believe-crashman either hes going to love it or regret it. dont know which!

i could have his personallity all wrong but i threw in a "because i said so" quote as well since at least in my mind from the very little i read and from the bold quotes he made i could imagine him saying. again, either he will laugh at it or hate it as you say.
