Running Windows XP -Home- Firewall enabled
Linksys BEFSR41

Just installed Trend Micro Internet Security, (TMIS) which required me to
remove Zone Alarm. Is the TMIS firewall adequate to prevent unwanted
outgoing data transmissions? It fails the Gibson Leak Test. Some posts
elsewhere indicate that this is OK. Please advise.

I tried Trend Micro Internet Security. While the AV portion of the product
is very good, the firewall portion is very light-weight. Thankfully,
TrendMicro, unlike the rest of the major I.S. manufacturers, made it very
easy to completely remove their product, down to its Registry keys. To use
this manual uninstaller, find the "PCCTool.exe" file in one of their folders
and run it. It works even AFTER their product is uninstalled via Add/Remove
Programs in Control Panel.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to check BEFORE you uninstalled a
working product?

What does the manual say about blocking outgoing?

I set up TMIS for web browsing only, when a program wanted to access another
port TMIS kept popping up a dialog box "Do you want to allow....", with the
default set to Accept. If I accidentally accepted it, it adds a new rule to
the firewall.

Nothing in the docs about this. Anyone know how to turn off this behaviour?
