[SOLVED] Trying to replace molten cable on my HX1000i

Hello everyone,

My mining rig has been running for a steady few months but after it crashing and stopped showing 2 gpus i found out that the power cable was burnt and molten at the psu end.
I didn't buy the psu myself and tried to order new power cables but they don't seem to fit on my gpus.

Specs:
Mobo - H81 Pro BTC R2.0 ASRock (P1.20 07/22/2014)
CPU - 4 × Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz
DISK - SanDisk Cruzer Blade 15.4GB
GPU - Radeon RX 580 8192 MB · XFX (6x)
PSU - HXi Series™ HX1000i High-Performance ATX Power Supply — 1000 Watt 80 Plus® PLATINUM Certified PSU

The cables that don't fit , unless I am wrong :
Corsair Premium Individually Sleeved PCIe Type 4 Gen 4 cable

If anyone know what cables I need to get please let me know. They don't need to be sleeved.

your PSU can work with type 3 or type 4 cables, they are same... only 24pin atx cable is different between type 3 and 4
so it should fit, unless something wrong with that cable

The pins are square or rounded, but they don't align with the round and square on the gpu.

which matches pcie layout

you sure its not EPS cable?

found your gpu with upclose pcie power slot

pin 8 is square there...it should be round, but u can plug round inside square

The one side of the connector matches EPS-12V
The other side looks like pcie 8 pin, but pin 7 isn't square.

Wow i think you're right, i must have bought the wrong cable, packaging says eps-12v on it.. and the one i linked is the right one i didnt buy. thanks for the help.
