I was upgrading some hardware components and the front panel came out of the attachment hinges.

Is this complicated or difficult to put back together because I'm having tons of problems putting it back. I wish I could sell it because I despise this case now. But, now, I think the design sucks. I don't want a case with a swinging door or something that can loosen or break off.

What is the Antec 900 like? I wish I had bought that case or could buy a replacement.

Anybody want to buy a Thermaltake case? :-(

So far I like my Antec 900 case. Its got a couple oddities, like the psu being at the bottom instead of the top and the blades of the big fan on the top are a bit fragile and will break if you mess with them, but its roomy, has good cooling, no door to get in the way when I'm accessing drive, and looks very good.

No, I don't want you Thermaltake case. If it was me, I'd just leave the door off.

I was able to put the Thermaltake case back together with a bit of help. It just took some mechanical work.

I probably would have went with the Antec 900 instead of the Solo I bought for the extra cooling but I have read assertions that the Solo case can get sufficient cooling and is much more quiet than the 900. Oh well...

Do you get a lot of dust build up around the case fans? After one month to this day all my five S-Flex fans has a ring of dust around them. I guess it was good that I bought six compressed air cans.

Yes, I do get a lot of dust, but it hasn't bothered me much as I live in a very dusty area and all my computers gather dust quickly. I wipe everything down with a damp dishrag regularly. The bottom fan has been the biggest problem in that area, as dust gathers under it and is a pain to clean.

I find cases SO hard to choose, there are just so many factors.

The only case I would use if I had to build today would be an Antec P182.

I mean, I like the Sonata, just hate being forced to take their crummy PSU.

So yes, P182 would be my pick. If you hate your case, the hatred could last for years.

In the opposite vein, if you love your case, it lasts for years. I bought an Alienware 7 years ago that used a Chieftec case. I still have it and use it to this day for my office computer. Accept for the fact that its designed to only use 80mm fans, the layout is great.
