I am a Zone Bridge Club member. When I sign on with my
net password, it takes me to the bridge room lobby, and
shows my zone name, but when I click on a room, a
download box comes up..when I click "install" an error
box comes up immediately saying "failed to download
http://fdl.msncom/zone/datafiles/zextract.exe". When I
go to the complete installation site, I see the spade and
the notation download complete..but when I
click "continue" I get the install box as explained
above. I have completely uninstalled by old zone files
and have cleaned out temporary internet files and have
uninstalled Heartbeat Active X Control file.
Please...can you help me?

Welcome to my world, Jeanne. I have the exact same
problem and nothing works. I haven't tried contacting
the ISP yet, though. Maybe Elmo will recommend something
new here. You might also see my other post (from dan)
regarding Need Clarification From Elmo. Since we have
the same problem, maybe it will help us both.

You might also:

- Click Start, Run, type Regedit, click OK. Press F3, type \conflict
and press Enter. If the search finds any "hits", look to see if the
Zone is mentioned. If so, delete the reference to the \conflict folder
in the right pane. This folder should mention Heartbeat. Press F3 to
continue the search. This removes the reference to the Conflict folder
which was created when a bad download caused a problem.

- Make sure no web accelerators, popup or ad blockers, antivirus or
firewalls are running. All these can be enabled after the Zone is
properly installed again.

- Try the things suggested here:

I sent you a fourth email this morning. Here are some of the things I
would try if I connected to your machine with Netmeeting:

- Click Start, Run, type Regedit, click OK. Press F3, type \conflict
and press Enter. If the search finds any "hits", look to see if the
Zone is mentioned. If so, delete the reference to the \conflict folder
in the right pane. This folder should mention Heartbeat. Press F3 to
continue the search. This removes the reference to the Conflict folder
which was created when a bad download caused a problem.

- Make sure no web accelerators, popup or ad blockers, antivirus or
firewalls are running. All these can be enabled after the Zone is
properly installed again.
