Hey there,
I’m having a bit of trouble installing Windows.
I created the flash media on my USB, plugged it in to the back of my MB, turned the PC on and... nothing. I get the MB’s boot screen, and am able to access the BIOS, but whenever I try to boot off of the USB, I just get a black screen (and yes, the monitor is on—it’s displaying all black).
The MB posts, all the components work fine (as far as I’m aware), but I can’t get the PC to boot into the installer.
I also have an M.2 SSD with Windows already installed on it, and the PC is unable to boot off of that as well. The MB knows the drive is there, and it shows up in the boot order editor (meaning it knows it’s a bootable drive), but trying to boot off of it leads me to a black screen.
Mobo: ASUS TUF GAMING x570-PLUS (Wi-Fi)
USB: 32GB Microcenter USB; formatted as FAT32 (MBR); I used the Windows media creation tool (or whatever it’s called) to create the installer.
I can list other components if needed.
Things I’ve tried:

Things I’ve tried:
- Using the APU instead of the GPU
- Changing the boot order
- Restarting (multiple times)
- Resetting CMOS (by shorting the CLRTC pins, AND by taking the battery out for ~5 minutes and then putting it back in)
- Removing all drives except the one I’m trying to install Windows on
